How much do you vary your play in NLHE online cash games if at all?
I’ve always liked to play a moderately wide variety of hands in NL but it just hadn’t been working out so well lately, so I tightened up my play considerably and limited my more speculative plays pre-flop to late position and post flop. Now oing much better but playing boring poker.
There is always an urge that I feel to try different things, be creative and show off with some fancy plays, but the question is what would be the optimum frequency to make such plays.

I don't vary my play very much online for two reasons, I play 4-7 tables and the limits I play are fairly low. I will make some loose calls in the CO or OTB with a couple of limpers or cold callers.
If I'm running hot on a particular table I may LAG it up a bit and try and run over them. But I'm assuming that's standard for any decent player.
Boring at low limits=$$$$$$$$$$ (IMO)
I save my creative play for live play, on the rare occasion I'm at a tight, predictable table.

I like to play suited single/double gappers in position and only against villians that will easily put their stack on the line.

I vary my play A LOT. but this is for two reasons.
1 - i play basically the opposite of the rest of the table, and tables always change
2 - i play tighter for every table i add. sometimes i play 1 table, or 2, or 5, or 8, or 12

I try to stay aggressive no matter what but I usually like to change up my play the higher the limits are. At low limits ABC poker gets you plenty of $ so I don’t mix it up there too often.
So I guess it depends on the competition...

I don't.
If I play NLHE, it is at micro stakes and players there simply don't pay enough attention.

If I'm playing at a site for an extended period like to clear a bonus or something I do mix things up a little. A raise from EP with a suited connector or a smooth call witha big pair before the flop. However, I feel at the $100NL level and below you don't really need to mix things up that much. There are enough players to feed your bankroll without having to overthink things. If I ever hit a downswing, on of the first things I analyse is whether or not I've contracted fancy play syndrome. Leave the complicated poker to the higher limits where the players are more observant and sophisticated.

Yep being a tight nut pedler, as well as grabing pots on the flop with extension bets has been working well so far. But I'm not playing above $100 buy in NL.
Playing 4 or 5 tables is my norm depending on the site and I want to start mixing in 1 or 2 of them at $200NL do you think there will be much change in the game there. Will I need to cut down a table or two so in order to follow the play more closely?
