KDawgCometh 2
Continuing with this, we know the drill, so here is KB2(this was also taken verbatim from my 2+2 review). The first thread got derailed because people were focusing way too much on semantics as opposed to focusing on the film, lets not let this thread turn into that again. For reference, Here is the list that I am working off of. lets get onto the filmKill Bill Vol. 2: This is the closing chapter in Quentin Tarantino's revenge story. This follows a more linear story line as opposed to Vol. 1 and the tempo of the film is much less fierce from Vol. 1. We don't get the barrage of characters that we do in the first Volume and we get more character development in this one too. We are given reasons to care for the players in this story and IMO the characters are more interesting. We finally get the Bride's name, but it doesn't come across as this big hullaballo. I think that it was presented right, and you then go on to the rest of the story. The fights scenes aren't as plentiful, but in ways, are a bit better. The fight between Elle and the Bride is what that fight should be. It doesn't resort to the typical cat fight forumula that you normally see between two bitter female rivals, but there is still that element there. THe fight between Bill and the Bride also accomplishes what is supposed to also. Some of the most interesting stuff revloves around Micheal Madsen's charatcer- Budd. He is a broken man that is just going through life as an alcoholic now. You can really feel the tension between him and bill and him and elle. We don't find out what led to his and Bill's falling out, but, the insinuation is that it had something to do with what they did to the BrideThe scenes between Bill and the Bride are great. You can really feel the Bride's hatred for him, but at the same time she still is very much in love with him. When she finally comes across him and sees her daughter for the first time, you get the feeling of the three of them being a family for that brief amount of time that they are together, and David Carradine really carries these scenes. He is this ultimate killer, a father, and a lover at the same time, and this makes for a real good dichotomy of who he really is. It also shows us to try to look beyond the assasin aspect of these peopleI'd also like to address Pei Mei. He is one of those Tarantino specials. THough his scenes are probably 15-20 minutes tops, he leaves a lasting impression on you. He really represents the old values of martial arts teachers and goes about it in ways that we will find amusing. He is a very fun character and is almost reason enough to watch this filmI enjoyed this film a lot more then Vol. 1. Granted, you have to look at them as a whole, but, I do find it odd that Tarantino put more of his personal touch into this one as opposed to Vol. 1. THere is more thought put into the dialouge and character development and we are given reasons for everything behind each action by the charactersOverall: 4.25rewatchability: This is one that I enjoy watching over and ovver again. It is definetly a film that you can bust out once a month and watch. This is definetly one though that needs to be seen by people over the age of 14.RATINGS (out of 5): 0 - This is a complete waste of time, and you will regret wasting it 1 - don't bother unless no other options at all 2 - okay for a single watch, if you've got time 3 - Definite watch if you get a chance 4 - See it very soon, at least once before you die 5 - See it immediately, no excuses

JoeyJoJo 20
Some of the most interesting stuff revloves around Micheal Madsen's charatcer- Budd. He is a broken man that is just going through life as an alcoholic now. You can really feel the tension between him and bill and him and elle. We don't find out what led to his and Bill's falling out, but, the insinuation is that it had something to do with what they did to the BrideIf that is true, why is he so vindictive against her? I realize she was out to kill him, so of course he will not simply allow that to happen, but he also says she deserves her revenge, so he understands her perspective. So why does he go through so much trouble to kill her rather than just shooting her in the head and being done with it?I also thought the breaking out of the coffin scene lasted too long. The scenes between Bill and the Bride are great. It also shows us to try to look beyond the assasin aspect of these peopleThe best part of both movies in my opinion and I'm not really a big David Carradine fan. I'd also like to address Pei Mei. He is one of those Tarantino specials. THough his scenes are probably 15-20 minutes tops, he leaves a lasting impression on you. He really represents the old values of martial arts teachers and goes about it in ways that we will find amusing. He is a very fun character and is almost reason enough to watch this filmDefinitely a memorable character; one of the reasons why 2 might be better than 1.I enjoyed this film a lot more then Vol. 1. Granted, you have to look at them as a whole, but, I do find it odd that Tarantino put more of his personal touch into this one as opposed to Vol. 1. THere is more thought put into the dialouge and character development and we are given reasons for everything behind each action by the charactersActually, I do believe 2 is a better movie than 1 if we're going to separate them. However, every scene once the Bride makes it to Tokyo in Vol. 1 is highly entertaining. And I think the music in those scenes deserves a special mention.

Don Giovanni 0
i also didnt get how in this movie you got the impression that bud respected the main character and said she deserved revenge but yet he still tried to kill her in an extremely painful way. same thing with that ellie girl. didnt really make sense. In fact Beatrix never did get the chance to kill him kind of ruins her revenge.Ellie I thought made it obvious she was jealous of Beatrix and Bills relationship, and wanted her out of the picture. KDawgCometh 2
If he did respect her and understand her revenge, why did he want to bury her alive instead of just shooting her?cause he wanted her to suffer the way that bill suffered when she went awol on themDon, I think you must've missed Budd's little soliloquy when Bill talked to him in person. He said that she deserved to exact her revenge, but she also deserved to die

BigDMcGee 3,367
See, and I thought the scenes with Carradine drug this movie down like a lead balloon. I thought the final scenes with bill were extremelly anti climatic. If viewed as a whole, I think think it makes Kill Bill 2 look even worse, as the action peaks at the end of KB1. Granted, these are more than just action movies.. but they ARE Kung Fu movies, they are action movies, so you jsut can't have to most spectacular fight scenes so early on. The fight against bill was short and gimmicky and was that way because Carridine is completely useless these days as a physcial actor. I liked KB 1 much more than 2, altough I lthink the Pei Mei scene is the best in either movie.

The way he delivers the dialogue is top notch.
