Nuts On The Flop

Recommended Posts

Forgot to grab the hand history but since I don't play a lot of PLO I figured I would post this. MTT, 25/50, all 3 players involved in hand have around same stack which is about even with starting stack. Hero has A/K/J/10 rainbow and limps on the button SB call, BB check. Flop A/Q/10 rainbow. SB bets pot, BB raises pot leaving button with the nuts and a bit more than the raise in front of him. It's early but obviously I put at least one of them on a set and the other on probably 90% the same hand as mine (w/slight chance of also having a set). Action?

1 -- raise pre-flop...2 -- i'd shovel it in here...you have the nuts and with no flush draw on the board you should be getting it in here.hopefully 1 just has a set and the other maybe AQ or something like that...obviously you could be chopping with someone else...but i'd still get it in here.- Jordan

1 -- raise pre-flop...- Jordan
Normally, but I've found that overall very early on it is -EV to do this in a low buyin PLO tourney unless there are multiple limpers and even then you might just get 6 callers limping the pot raise anyhoo. Early on I'd like to see if I could flop something big against a max of 2 players without committing a bunch of chips when 4/4/7/10, etc are coming anyways.
Yeah, you have to get it in here.
That I did, SB had QQ and a low backdoor spade draw, BB had same KJ. Runner/Runner spade knocked us both out....I was just curious if I was pretty sure I was at best chopping the set's money if it was still the right move to get it in mathematically or whatever.
