I would say a definate raise. He was in lp looking at your limp. His raise doesn't necessarily say strength but it does say high cards and maybe trying to isolate against you. I see you as best hand right now but a raise will define that. If you are best with the three's, you may not be for long so the raise gets you information on his hand and more then likely gets you the pot.Thats how I would play it, but that doesn't make it the right way to play it.

Eddie what you will probably need here is some assistance.On the flop, bet/call a raise.If you dont improve, check/call it down.The other option here is straight up check/folding the flop.

Level two thinking.A) Check/raise he flop. A good player can raise with all sorts of garbage from late position.B) Check/call the flop, bet the turn (when a non scary card hits)C) Check/call the flop, Check/raise the turn, Check/call the river (if non scary cards hit).
