So I played a horse sit n go on stars last night, and we got heads up during Omaha, but played heads up through razz, stud, and stud 8. I finally lost in stud 8.
Playing this, I realized I was unsure a little on starting hands in stud and stud 8 when playing heads up. So here are some general questions.
When your opponent brings in the bet, do you automatically generally complete it due to your better up card?
Are Ace high hands more playable?
Are suited connectors less valuable?
Are low hands useless in stud 8 when heads up?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

For the razz stud high level, not all aces are playable, but a completion with an ace up card is usually a good play. I dont always like to complete, i vary the way i start hands.
Suited connected cards are great heads up, in stud hi/lo they are incredibly powerfull if lower than an eight. Any 4 suited to a low i am capping on 4th street.
Low hands are not useless...more time than not they make disguised straights very well and have better drawing potential. it also allows you to play a wider array of starting hands.
Generally in stud high i love any pair, most players are prepared to take it down to the river if their opponents boards are not scary, i know keith sexton has said it is a usualy sure bet to see people do this. Any three high cards above a 9, 3 suited, sometimes even 3 connected cards are worth it.
