hmmmm Not really... Maybe check @ the end because for another .50 the guy's probobly gonna call. But not really, I think betting out on the river after his check is what I'd do as well, just because he might have been drawing to something or had a week hand as well.Nicely played, you'll win more than you lose playing that hand the exact same way.
"Here are my rules: what can be done with one substance must never be done with another. No two materials are alike. No two sites on earth are alike. No two buildings have the same purpose. The purpose, the site, the material determine the shape. Nothing can be reasonable or beautiful unless its made by one central idea, and the idea sets every detail. A building is alive, like a man." - The Fountainhead.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with checking the river. Unless your opponent ALSO completely missed a draw--and sometimes not even then--you're going to get called, and more of your chips than necessary are going to slide to your opponent. Other than that, though, you played it fine (I don't consider JKs a raising hand).

Yeah, I bet the river just in case he was on a missed draw.

checking the river is your best play as your only gonna get called if your beat for the most part, other than that looks solid

Check the river. Why bet? He's not going to call unless he has a better hand.

Well, he had pocket fives. So it wasn't anything spectacular, he just made a good call.

lol bad Norman, I constantly bet the River. I hate checkin when I've shown aggression and a draw missed- especially mine.meh, leak.
Suddenly I turned around
And she was standin' there
With silver bracelets on her wrists
And flowers in her hair.
She walked up to me so gracefully
And took my crown of thorns.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."

I'd take the free card on the turn, check/fold the river. It's heads up, no equity in a bet.

betting the turn is good here because you are in position. You can get a free showdown if you want and you get an extra bet when you hit.

betting the turn is fine, because:1. you're heads-up. aggression is important.2. you're heads-up. aggression is important.3. you're heads-up. aggression is important.4. you can get a free showdown as wrto said.check the river, because you can beat a draw.that's the key... if he were to fold to a bet (e.g. he was on a draw), you would have won the hand anyway. but the times he calls you are the times that you're beaten, so you lose money by betting the river.and be happy that he called you down with fives. hopefully he'll do it again when the river actually brings you the straight flush.aseemp.s. KJs isn't a raising hand pre-flop unless it's short-handed or you're opening in late position for a steal.
