They would be the defending Cup champions if not for that rash of injuries at the worst possible time last season. No question in my mind about it.
Cup champions this year, barring injury and weather permitting.

Or something like that...
It doesn't matter who you start because you have a horse shoe up your ass so far I'm not really sure how you get through the day. You must be gay.

Undoubtedly due to the fact that I have Pomminville and Briere on my fantasy teams.
Seriously though, how does the top scoring line on the team go -1 in a 9 goal rout?
Answer - The 3rd line put up almost all of that offense, as soon as I saw the combo of Vanek-Roy-Afinogenov on opening night I knew that line was going to be a monster. Speed and playmaking ability all the way.
Briere was on the ice for Drury's goal (he assisted on it) but it was a PP goal and those don't count towards or against +/-.
My question is, how long will it take for Robert Esche to skip town Patrick Roy style after the drubbing he was forced to suffer?

Not sure if you caught the clip of Esche's interview BEFORE the game last nite...They asked him what goes on in Hitchcock's head and he said"i dont know its a pretty empty place"...Couldnt believe he said that...Well I hate that organization starting with Bobby Clarke

Yeah, I saw it and I'm sure that's why he was left out there while Nitty chilled on the bench. I'm just wondering if he'll demand a trade after that, or take his medicine and suck it up...
I couldn't believe he said it either, must be some bad blood between those two.

Scary to think that they defeated 3 division champions (including the Presidents and Stanley Cup champions) from last season in their first 4 games, and they're just now hitting their stride...
Carolina will be a big test this weekend, they're finally awake now and should be looking for some payback.

They were wearing the Blue and Yellows, if I were Lindy Ruff they wouldn't be taking them off until they lose.

Yeah, I have Afinogenov too (and Roy), probably used up his quota of points for the month in that one game.

Hey, yeah man, not to hijack the thread or anything, but I apologize about the Wellwood comments. They weren't meant to offend or antagonize. Just in good fun.
Although I did see you post that you were 'tilting' from the game night, and maybe went a little overboard. So the Wellwood comments will resume again. I love Wellwood too, I've been trying in vain to get him in FCHL, but it seems the only Maple Leaf I will have is Tomas Kaberle for $0.50!
[/hijack thread]
Buffalo looked good in their old uni's last night. Keep them please.
