you have to have some simpathy for Partypoker here. It happens to be a publicly traded company on the London Stock Exchange and its stock price has fallen from 107 to 34.5 sense October 1st. Pulling out of the U.S. is a last ditch effort to save the company as investors fear legal issues more than poor earnings reports

i was just thinking and this is the forum i'm on. if someone had the forsight to potentially declare themself a poker player, pay back taxes or declare their losses, it would be a legitimate job correct? Well wouldn't banning your main source of income become a restraint of trade type things and thus fightable in the courts? just an idea

I only played on Party briefly last yearI just don't have any respect for its founders Dikshit and the Evil ex porn queen bloodsucker.The customer service was ridiculously horrible and the interface was retarded. For the life of me I can't understand how they grew into the biggest poker site when Stars is VASTLY superior in every aspect.I heard way too many people groan about Partythe fact that they were so quick to ban US customers speaks volumes about their committment to the poker communityI feel sorry for the shareholders who lost tons of money on the 'crash' but as far as the site and its management/founders go, they got what they deserved.Oh and plus I hate their stupid commercials

not that i want to back him, but i have to take his side. my big gripe is their tournament structure. i quit playing on party after i had an incident where i went deep in a tourney (turbo rebuy), and then lost 2/3 of my relatively large stack when i was forced to post the big blind 4 hands in a row, all on the same table. they have their tourney rules set up so that the button does not always move, and i had 2 open seats to my right that would be alternately filled and vacated each hand. after emailing support, which was a waste of time, and double checking their rules, i found out this was by design.also their software is a piece of shit. i've got less than 6 months as a full time software programmer and i could write a better client program.and the ban of us player is a rediculous move. essentially nothing has changed for them. the legality of their game has not been affected, and the majority of people are not being restricted on their deposit method any more than they have been for the last 2 years. party needs to take some ritalin or something.disclaimer: ive been drinking.
