Hero ($200) is SB with K icon_suit_diamond.gif 10 icon_suit_diamond.gif

Full ring game, 3 players limp, Hero limps, BB checks...
(I just sat down at this table, both players have me covered)

Flop ($10) A icon_suit_diamond.gif Q icon_suit_diamond.gif 9 icon_suit_club.gif
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG bets $20, MP calls, Hero calls, BB folds.

Turn ($70) 9 icon_suit_diamond.gif

Hero checks, UTG bets $40, MP calls, Hero pushes????

We cool here?? If he has A9, good for him, otherwise I have to
be good at this point, yes??

In a limped pot I see UTG having an Ace/rag, not likely A9. Probably betting an A8-A2 with the diamond, or without. And I see the MP flat call pretty tricky. When he flat calls with 2 players to act behind him, he could be holding a 9 for trips, or a full house, and sometimes a possible smaller flush. Not often enough for him to have the full house, so I say the push is fine. Plus, if you just call the turn you don't want to have a 4th diamond fall on the river because then you don't get paid off.

I'm fine with the push. MP could have a weaker flush and UTG is probably on an ace.
Give me a paper and pen so I can write about my life of sin. A couple bottles of gin in case I don't get in.

With no raise pf BB can have anything, prolly has a 9 but doubt there is a A with it.

Your only worry is if the board pairs again, but it's a risk worth taking.

I don't think there is any reason here to put him on a 9, I would say more likely a weak ace or a QJ or something like that.

Anyways...I stuffed it all in on the turn, got called by UTG, he flips over
ACE - JACK OFFSUIT.....

River A icon_suit_club.gif , GG me...
Shortest NL session ever.

Just wondered if anyone was gonna suggest to flat call the turn
in case just those events happened on the river, but I'm glad I
think I at least made the right move. He hits a 4 outer on me,
what can you do...

How the guy calls with AJ off (no diamond) is beyond me, when c/r'd
for every penny in front of him.....

Nice push, bad river. Donkeys like him will be making your car payment later down the road.

You don't know that he's gonna call with that hand. If the river is another diamond and he doesn't have one, you lose all of your action. If the river is the A, or 9 and he had a flush also, you give him a chance to push you out of the hand.

Don't be results oriented. You got him to stick his money in drawing to 4 outs. You played the hand well.
