I was playing poker with my buddies the other day.We don't play for that much, like $50 a game is high for us. anyways there were about 20 of us and the payouts were as follows:5-504-753-1252-2501-500I noticed one of my friends was sneaking chips. When nobody was looking he put his hand into the pot and snuck out a couple of chips. I naturally called him out and he denied it. Nobody thought he cheated because they didn't think one of our 'friends' would sink that low.what should i do at the next poker game? Tell everybody before hand to watch out for him? And if he is caught what should we do? Ban him from this game for ever, or just an extended period of time?

I would have made him empty his pockets, and if he was in fact sneaking chips I'd kick his ass out the card game, kick his ass out of the house, and then kick his ass in the middle of the street.

If you see him do it again. Wait a little bit and stop the game. If it's a freeze out tournament you will know exactly how many chips should be in play. Have someone count the chips. There will be too many in play. And then declare "Just to be fair" Everyone should turn out their pockets. Not just him. Or even better have someone other than yourself - to turn out their pockets. If you catch him, make him leave. AND give him back his money. Tell him you don't want the money from a cheater. The shame he'll feel for cheating friends will top anything you can do to him physically.

1) I thought OP said he was taking them from the pot. 2) I wish this were true, but you know ... not everyone (appropriately) feels this way. If he felt OK about cheating, ostracizing him is going to have a limited effect.

Cut off his hands? But seriously, someone needs to be watching the pot. Did he do it at a completely random time or while putting in a bet/making change?
