Very first hand of a 180. I think this might be the only time EVER I advocate a min-reraise.He'll probably just push all in over the top if he's got a draw or two pair or set....Like you said, the play is horrible at the beginning.

No. After watching cats like Shannon Shorr, I've been trying to adapt to an early LAG game, instead of my usual TAG approach to the 180s. I'm building a pot with little investment of my starting stack for the times when my 68c, 97s, whatever hits - no other reason than that. Then I ususally switch back to a TAG game when I double or triple up early with flops like these. If I miss a few consecutive times and dwindle down to 1,000ish - I revert back to TAG again as well.

Preflop is standard for me. On the flop bet out more. I like 200 there. When he reraises I don't mind a flat call and then checking the turn.

Well it was a weak bet (1/4 to 1/3 pot size) to induce a bluff or a raise by anyone with any draw or a piece of it. Betting 200, I think, might seem too strong and scare away the others. It worked as BB raised.You think we would have gotten the same results with the 200 bet?And you don't raise him back? Just smooth call? What if the board pairs or a club drops (and he's not on clubs)? Aren't you worried of the action getting killed?

If we reraise on the flop we announce strongly that we are very strong and get folds from most likely a majority of his range. I want to extract more from his marginal holdings.

was this a 20 dollar tourny?anyways, if it was this early i think people are willing to risk it all to accumlutate chips. i would reraise and hope he calls, if not, you still have a bunch of chips

I would flat call after his check/raise since you have position and try to induce another bet on the turn from the BB.He might have you on overs due to your preflop raise and fire another bullet on the turn if a blank hits. If he bets the turn, then I would push at that point.
