nell789 0 Posted October 7, 2006 Share Posted October 7, 2006 And the early nod goes to.....*drumroll*........Tonights Buffalo/Montreal game!!!Incredible action, spectacular goaltending, game-tieing goal with 0:15 left, nail-biting overtime, a shootout that didn't involve 5 minute delays between shots, and a win for the home team (increases game quality because of fan excitement).Best part of the game was definitely when there was the non-call on Vanek, followed by the crowd throwing stuff on the ice and a long discussion between Briere and the ref. The very next play, Briere gets sprung on a breakaway, scores, and the crowd goes wild.I'm really glad I was able to weasle my way into tickets for this one, even if they were nosebleed. One of the games I went to last season, Pit vs Philly (2-0 W), I don't even remember what set it off, but Roy went nuts and did the same thing Souray did last night, and ended up with giving Philly a 7 minute power play in the 3rd period.
