PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FCP)BB ($4.65)UTG ($43.95)UTG+1 ($24.55)MP1 ($23.40)MP2 ($17.90)MP3 ($24.90)CO ($40.20)Hero ($31.05)SB ($23.50)Preflop: Hero is Button with Q
, J
. 1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.25, MP1 calls $0.25, MP2 calls $0.25, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.25, 1 fold, BB checks.Flop: ($1.35) T
, Q
, 9
(5 players)BB checks, UTG+1 bets $0.5, MP1 calls $0.50, MP2 calls $0.50, Hero calls $0.50, BB folds.Turn: ($3.35) Q
(4 players)UTG+1 bets $1.5, MP1 calls $1.50, MP2 folds, Hero calls $1.50.River: ($7.85) 6
(3 players)UTG+1 bets $2.5, MP1 folds, Hero calls $2.50.Final Pot: $12.85On the flop, with so many people in the hand with such a coordinated board, I figured I'd just call hoping to hit my open ender, or another Q for a possible back-door boat that I can draw cheaply to.Turn: Wow, the straight flush draw Q. Again, a bet, and a caller. I don't think I have the best hand here, but I definitely feel that if the board pairs or a J falls, I have the best hand, and if the A or K of clubs falls, I might. Obviously the straight flush wins me the hand as well.Turn: Should I have raised, or just called? Pretty sure UTG+1 had to have a pretty strong hand to keep betting into multiple people.River: Giving good odds to call, and he might still be betting a flopped straight without a club (unlikely, but possible) so I kind of make a 'just in case' call..Thoughts?
I may not be a meteorologist, but it sure looks like it's rainin' bitches!

IMO I think we need to raise here at some point in the hand, either on the flop or on the turn. Just calling gives us no info of where we are at in the hand. I really like raising the flop because we are in positon with two chances to hit the draw. If he reraises you can be pretty sure your beat and either fold, or if your getting odds chase the draw. Raising the flop also puts pressure on the two flat calls, who are prob in with pairs or draws. You might even get one of them to laydown like a KQ fearing you for the straight.Assuming we did raise the flop and just got called I think you can rule out a floped straight and need to place a bet when the second Q hits. Even if he would stick around with a hand like AQ, your still 40% to win assuming he doesn't have the Ac. If the hand played out this way and it was checked to you on the river again I think the safest bet it to check. Coming in from UTG+1 I don't think we can put a club in his hand that you can beat, so your only getting called or raised if you are beat.

I like the way you played it. I would keep the pot small like you did. Well played.
