looks like i'll be making the trip a lot more often. I went down about 5 times since the begining of the summer. It's about a 1.5 hour drive for me (bridgewater, mass). The games there are pretty soft, plenty of drunks on friday/saturday night giving their money away. I'm only 20 but i have a buddies old I.D and i've never had a problem getting through. Been I.D'd twice after walking in and out of the poker room many times.

1-2 NL sucks there. It's still a $100 max, right?

yup, but they have a good $2 - $5 N/L game.

Here's the trick: buy in for $40. Lose at least $1. Reload for $100 more. You can get up to $139. So, I guess the max buy in is $139.

Hi neighbor ! I'm from Marshfield. I'm jealous. I'm currently disabled, so I can't drive there . I've taken the bus, but it's 3 to 4 hours each way and only leaves about 5 hours for playing. If the current legislation does kill online poker, I will not be a happy camper :club:

100% totally not allowed (at least in my casino's poker room!). If you did this while I was working, I would have you removed for cheating.

Do you work at Foxwoods? Because it for sure works at Foxwoods, and dealers don't care.

It's a bad game, $10hr to the house and you get to only buy in for 50xbb.Most casino's in Canada are at least 100xbb. Give Foxwoods credit though, the people keep going so why change? I went a couple times and forced myself to play in the bigger games, over my BR but I'll have a chance at least. The 1-2nl is very very tough to beat and the 2-5 is tough also. Alot of fish but the you'll never be able to beat the house at those levels.Take a bus to Borgata, the game is better and the juice is a little less. Nice place to boot.

yes this works there, i almost always do it. Since most of my online bankroll is now in my savings account I will most likely be playing 2/5 and up. I oringally decided i was going to build a live roll just like I did my online bankroll but Bill Frist gave me all this extra money to use. There actually seems to be a huge jump in skill level from the 1/2 to the 2/5 at the woods. I can handle 2/4 3/6 and some 5/10 online but 2/5 live at the woods seems like a scary game!

No, I do not work at Foxwoods.Would you care if another player purposely broke a rule that negatively affected you or shot an angle and the dealer just let it go because "they didn't care"?EDIT: I have emailed Foxwoods to get a confirmation of their buy-in and reload rules.

I'm 99.9 percent sure of this but you are allowed to reload at 39 dollars or lower. The dealers don't just let it slide, its a rule, you can reload at 39 dollars.

the foxwoods 1-2 game is not tough to beat, either is the 2-5 it is just a matter of dealing with these over aggressive assclowns. Also having the bankroll to do it.

yeah the 1/2 game is a joke. It's relatively easy to make some serious money at 1-2 as long as you can dodge the bad beats and double up right away to have somewhat of a decent stack to work with.

Most rooms that I am familiar with allow you to reload upto the max buy-in at anytime you are not involved in a hand. So, you could buy-in for $100, play a few pots, be down to $65 and then reload to $100 before the next hand. The reload rule usually stipulates that you must reload to the minimum table buy-in as well. So, if you were down to $20, you could reload for at least $20 (to make the $40 minimum) up to $80 (to reach the max buy-in of $100). You should not be allowed to add the max buy-in to your stack that you already have, whether you are below the minimum or not. At no time should you be allowed to bring more than $100 to the table, you can only win money that puts your stack over $100.
