Small stakes SNG, five players left. I'm fourth in chips with $1,765. Blinds are $75/$150. I'm in the big blind with 9 9 and everyone folds to the small blind who completes. He's third in chips with $2,895. I've been playing tight. I thought for a second about raising, which I think I should have done, but I just checked so I could see a flop with position.The flop is pretty good, 2 2 4 . He bets $150 and I raise to $600. This was a typical player, I think he could've been betting a pair or fours or even two overcards. Then he reraises me to $1,200. Now I have a dilemma. Looks like he could have the deuce, after all he was in the small blind. Or could just be playing a middle pair aggressively. After my raise I have $1,015 left and the pot is $2,100. Calling would leave me with just $415 so there's no point in doing that.Go all-in and hope he doesn't have a deuce? Should have raised preflop and possibly avoided this mess?

You really don't beat much here.SB could easily have AA-TT, probably more often than he has 2x. I don't think 33, 55-88 plays like this.I think ya gotta fold.

Move in preflop.As played though, I would move in after his reraise and hope that he does not have the deuce. My key consideration would be the fact that 3 places pay out and before the hand started, Villain was in 3rd place with 2.9K. If you fold, Villain would have 3.6K and you would have 1K. Villain would probably move up to 2nd and 3rd place would be somewhere around 3K-ish. Also, if blinds are moving up soon, the all-in decision would be an even easier one.Given different stack sizes, I can easily find a fold in this one.

Move in preflop because he has you covered.....your hand is good but not THAT good to slowplay. You are mighty fine taking his blind right then and there.As for the postflop play, you are behind about 90% of the time here thanks to his little bet and his min-re-raise, which reaks of a sucker bet. He either has two big hearts like QhJh, where you are a dog, or he limped with A2o and got lucky. Even if he has Ah3h-Ah8h, you are still not happy because you are only a slight favorite to win with two cards to come.Now he could just have K4s or 54s or something silly like that, but most of the time, you are beat here.

B v B medium strenght hands are a definite raise imo and with these stacks a push is the only realistic raise.As played i dont see him c/r with overcards, so hes tripped up with something like A2 or has an overpair. Thats 55-88 that you beat, TT-AA that you are behind to, unless you think he would raise TT,JJ. Overall this is pretty close to a coin flip, theres dead money in the pot, stacks are pretty shallow...push back and hope. Youre in a much worse position than a preflop push because you have no FE.
