This bill bars wagering on "games of chance". Maybe we could go to the Supreme Court and prove that poker is a game of skill...Anyway this is truly disappointing.
dear god i hope you're kidding.

if this bill passes in the house, it will still have to pass in the senate. WE ALL NEED TO MAKE SURE WE CALL OUR SENATORS FOR OUR STATES, AND GET ANYONE YOU KNOW THAT PLAYS POKER TO CONTACT THEM ALSO. Those who are from CA like me, make sure you contact representative Harmon and Lundgren.

Because, once again, that was the house voting. The House passed it, and it will now be moved to the Senate. If the senate PASSES the bill, then we have some problems. That's why it's important to contact your states senators now, and make sure they know that if this passes, they will not be voted for. Get on it people!-Shawn K

Yeah, my understanding was that this was in the Senate, which was on CSPAN-2.The way I understand it now is that it is in the House, which is on CSPAN.I missed all the discussion cause I was mostly watching CSPAN-2.Oh well

So interweb poker is going to be banned? How much of a % to they need to win? Majority? 51%? Or that 2/3 rule?
