Villain hasn't been involved in too many pots, plus i was new to the table

when you run bad forever you get weak/tight/gunshy. this is one of those hands.

I called the flop to see what developed on the turn. I figured the flop c/r might be a semi bluff but i gave him more credit for a hand when he made a substantial bet on the turn.

Hand looks ok to me. I figure villain for two pair or a set. Board is fairly coordinated so yeah he could've been semi-bluffing on the flop, so calling is good, but I doubt you're ahead enough to call his turn bet. QT, JT? Maybe. No reads I also fold.

Calling his raise does you no good. If you feel he is semi-bluffing then you need to put him to the test on the flop. If you think he has a hand then fold.

I personally would fold this one most of the time. you raised preflop and bet again on the flop showing strength and he still came over the top. I don't see to many hands you can beat here.

I really don't agree with a lot this. Calling on the flop in position is going to give us information about our opponents hand. He acts before us on the turn so from his action we can maybe reduce his range a little bit.

Theres plenty of hands that he might c/r the flop with. set, two pair, 10x, draw (this board is draw heavy), even air if he feels that i c-bet a lot.

I would maybe agree if he bet into you on the flop but he raised you. He is out of position and raising you. Unless he is an idiot he is going to be firing another bullet on the turn and if you are going to fold to a bet unless you hit a jack then you wasted $10 (even more so if you are not holding the Jc).
