I was planning on c/pushing the flop, but he didn't really bet a whole lot. (His bet amount was also sorta weird) Go ahead and go with it anyway? I was 50/50 on the river cause he woke up the bet amount so quickly and it was pretty fast. there's so much money in the pot now, I couldn't really find a fold.

I like reraising allin on the flop given you checked. His bet is odd, but could just be for information.Personally I pot the flop.I think I call his turn bet.

as played with ur read its fine...i generally would make a bet on the flop but if u feel he will always bluff this then its good

Given your read of him, I like your flop play. I'd call the turn too, he could easily be semibluffing, or just have 2 pair. You beat most of those so get it in.

I wasn't too sure about the smooth call on the flop. I had caught him pushing pot size bets at me w/ air on the turn in a previous session. So I was kinda worried about losing air on the flop. And I think at the time I thought any drawing type hand was coming along even if I pushed w/ so much money in the pot. This player wasn't awful. He just tended to take his post flop aggression too far IMO. I was a little discouraged because I had felt that something had changed on the turn and I was right, he had caught the 5 (hole 56). I guess I could only stop that by open pushing the flop.

Actually I think this is interesting. Against an very over the top aggressive player. What do we do when this is deep stacked? I am sure w/ a good amount of his holdings to limp on the button here that he has hit this board hard or has a significant hand to put a lot of pressure on me OOP. In betting this flop, I would expect a fold maybe 25-30% of the time and a reraise 70% of the time from this player. So assuming $100 stacks or $150 stacks, how do we really want to play this hand?

Assuming we do check to him, we really need to raise his $5.50 to about $20. If he pushes we fold, and if he smooth calls we reevaluate depending on the turn.My own line would normally be to lead out pot at the flop almost regardless of his stack.Really, if we get a lot of action we are either beat or against a big draw which is probably even money against us.The more deepstacked we are, the worse the reverse implied odds become.

This IMO would be the dilemma of this flop here. I think you would have to surrender to the fact that you're going to fold the best hand over 50% of the time if you're going to bet/fold here.

Quite often we can be bluffed off here by a draw. It's still better than getting allin every time. If we were deepstacked I would be fairly willing to let this go. With only $30, I think we are fine getting allin quite often on the flop.
