PokerStars 0.02/0.04 Omaha/8 (8 handed) converterPreflop: Hero is MP2 with [J :heart: ], [9 :club: ], [Q :diamond: ], [T :club: ]. UTG calls, 2 folds, BB checks.i'm pretty sure this is an okay call for one bet in a fairly passive game, QJT9 (a very coordinated hand), emergency-suited.Flop: (4.50 SB) [2 :club: ], [8 :spade: ], [Q :heart: ] (4 players)BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, BB calls, UTG calls, Hero calls.i have a nice five-straight wrap draw to the nuts on a rainbow flop. any 9, T or J gives me the nut straight, which leaves me 9 outs to the nut straight. i also have top pair. i bet my nice draw, button to my immediate left raised, everyone cold-called, so i figured i could put in a three-bet since i had nice equity (did i overdo it here? should i have been in check-call mode since i DIDN'T have equity??). button capped it, all calls.Turn: (10.25 BB) [Q :club: ] (4 players)BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, Button calls, BB calls, UTG calls.not a card i was delighted to see. if the button was raising/capping with a set, i was behind now. plus, someone could have a higher flush draw than me. however, i did have a decent redraw to the nuts again (10 outs). finally, i figured that i may just have the best hand right now, as the button might have been raising on a strong draw as well, maybe an insured nut low draw or something. so i bet out here, and i only got calls! i figured my hand was best, or if not, that i was at least representing the boat to which they only called (meaning they were on either a low draw or a straight draw like me). i don't think i overplayed it here by betting, but i might have, let me know.River: (14.25 BB) [K :club: ] (4 players)BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, Button folds, BB calls, UTG folds.not a card i wanted to come off at ALL. now all i had was a sad ten-high flush. no low had hit, however, and if someone had a boat now, they probably had it before the river, so i would have been raised on the turn. since i wasn't raised on the turn, i figured no one had a boat, so it was possible that my flush was good. through that logic, i bet out when it was checked to me, and got one call and two folds.Final Pot: 16.25 BBi'll post the results later. i'm wondering if i overplayed this hand. was i too aggressive with my draws on the flop? was it wrong to bet on the turn with only trips? was it especially wrong to bet on the river?thanks,aseem

PF call is fine in a loose game, a tight game, a whatever game. Calling this two-cold is a leak.I don't like the 3-bet on the flop. Almost certainly you are behind with top pair, probably to a set. This leaves you nine outs to the nuts (which could be split here with four going to the turn). Bet out and call a raise. But I would like to hear anyone with differing advice. I could be misled in this thinking.On the turn your bet is good. Just call a raise. And if no one raises, figure your set is good.You have to bet the river here with the flush and call any raise. I can't see a better flush here not raising you. My guess is a couple busted straight draws and the caller having a lower flush.You played this hand fine outside the flop 3-bet, which I could be wrong about.

hmm this is interesting. I'm gonna guess that the flop capper had the nut low draw...as when the board paired he didn't raise representing a boat, if he had top pair he tripped...he might've thought you hit a boat so went into check/call with the last Q. I think your bet on the flush is fairly safe here as nobody raised on the turn when the flush draw hit. maybe they too feared a boat n wanted to check/call their flush draw? (if so that's a horrible play). I don't think you played this bad at all. You had top pair (not much, but it can be worthwhile in OH8...you have to know your table. sometimes people get way too caught up in going for a low they forget the high end. don't bet hard w/ top pair tho, I'm just saying it can pay off every now and then, w/ raises and such i doubt it's good.) But you have a ton of draw cards to the nuts. I'd put most of these people on low draws, and you're more than likely taking half their money, and if they'll call a capped flop, I say go for it. There's a slight possibility that you have the best high hand here, if reraiser is building a pot for his nut low draw. slight chance you get quartered, and lots of outs to the nut high. I see no real problem with 3-betting the flop, but I don't like to crunch a whole lot of numbers...maybe someone would.

thanks for the replies. i have no idea what the button had or the other player who folded on the river, but these are the other results.Hero has J 9 Q T (High: flush, king high). BB has 3 A 8 3 (High: flush, king high). Outcome: Hero wins 16.25 BB.so i won a nice pot with my non-nut flush, even though i was capping it for my wrap draw then my boat draw.aseem
