I hoped he saw me as one of the bluffersObviously the preflop check was not normal for me with AKs.With this group though, seemed good for now.Posted both hands because I think the 2nd push gets called more after the first pushthanks for your input

Hand 1: I like preflopHand 2: Raise preflopFlop as played,Hand 1: I like the c/c on the flop. If you raise and get called, you don't gain any information. It could be a FD, it could be a better ace. You don't know. Keep it small, see what the turn is.Hand 2: I don't normally like overbetting, but given that you've played it oddly preflop I quite like this.Turn as played,Hand 1: I like leading for 300.Hand 2: I prefer $1k given you overbet the flop.River as played,Hand 1: I'm torn between $1200 and all-in.

the way I see it If you are looking for the call on hand #2 then its a good play if you are trying to buy the pot then Id say a 1000 chip bet is betterI like the push on hand 1 a lot more than the push on hand 2

Hand 1: Like it till the all in. Nothing is calling that we beat and almost every ace from a competent player will call here.Hand 2: Gotta raise preflop

Does anyone like to take the lead on the flop for Hand 1? Or do we not gain enough information?

I don't mind leading the flop on hand 1, but you only really dislike a club on the turn, and a flush draw might easily bet the flop anyway. If you get raised then you could end up playing a large pot out of position with no idea where you are. The c/c line keeps the pot smaller.

I dont like either push.I wouldnt have played the first hand the way you did, trying to get a little more in the pot earlier and also test for a higher Ace out there. With your line getting to the river though, I think a value bet is called for not a push.Youve disguised your strength well, and a value bet can get called by a K. If the 4 was a disaster card your not chasing him out with a push, so the only negative to a value bet is a bluff reraise representing a 4...but youre obviously willing to call that if you were willing to push into it.the second hand I think you can pick up more by betting the turn around 1/2 pot and then pushing the river.

I think a lot of Ax hands fold in hand 1.I played 2 weird. Maybe not that weird, but weird for me.I would c.r push the flop a lot. Of course normally I raise preflop. This guy had played tons of hands against the bet monkey and I hoped he'd payoff over bets.He hit two pair on turn, A5. so he paid alright.
