The Line that is currently in it's prime:

LW Simon Gagne, PHI.
C Henrik Sedin, Van.
RW Olli Jokinen, FLA.

The Line that have established themselves as NHL scoring threats:

LW Raffi Torres, EDM.
C Jussi Jokinen, Dal.
RW Jason Pominville, Buf.

The Line that has played in the NHL and is waiting for the breakout season:

LW Alexander Semin, Was.
C Stephen Weiss, FLA.
RW Corey Perry, ANA.

The #2, 3, and 4 overall pick in the 2005 draft:

LW Benoit Pouliot, MIN.
C Anze Kopitar, LA.
RW Bobby Ryan, ANA.

In about four years, the line in their prime will be nearing 30 years of age and should still be productive. By then, I expect all four of these lines to be the core of the team.

I would say that it was a pretty successful 2005 draft. icon_biggrin.gif

Daniel had an awesome draft last year. Due to the lockout there was double the talent available and he had a lot of nice picks. It almost appears as if knew what he was doing. biggrin.gif

From what I've heard around here and what I've seen. Kopitar will mostly make the team right out of training camp this year.

He looked good yesterday when I went to Training Camp yesterday.
Jack Johnson cannot play defense.

My D is very weak right now: Seabrook, Poti, de Vries, Richmond, and Kohn. It's an area I'll be working on... oh, I also have Tverdovsky and Desjardins.

I just traded away Robidas, Carney, Lukowich, Sarich, Axelsson, and a few other spare parts.

No NHL season = no fantasy hockey season.

wow thats odd for a fantasy keeper league. no nhl season didnt stop the nhl from drafting. wouldve had to hurry to get everyone together to do a draft if the lockout ended midseason.

The NHL is a business. The AHL is a fantasy hockey league. It hardly seems necessary to have the team owners come in from wherever they are in the world just to draft for a nonexistant season.

I wasn't in the league last year so I'm not sure of the reasoning, but it makes sense to me.

yeah, thanks for differentiating the NHL from the AHL for me, i thought they were the same. what i was saying is, in a keeper league you're going to draft for the next 15 years anyway, not just that season. also, had the nhl ended its lockout midseason, it wouldve been kinda tough to get everyone together from wherever they are in the world on short notice also, no? unless they decided before the season that they would have no season regardless, but that doesn't seem to be the way these hardcore hockey junkies roll.
