Been playing Low-Limit (~$5 buyin) Sit-n-gos/Tourneys for about 3 to 4 months. Making a conscience effort to improve my game so I've moved down to somewhat meaningless tourneys in terms of buyin/payout just to work on basically everything and try and instill some fundamentals in my play.

Poker Stars
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t15/t30
9 players

Seat 4: AKProdigy (1400 in chips)
Seat 5: Button (1085 in chips)

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is CO with T♣ T♠
3 folds, MP2 calls t30 (pot was t45), MP3 folds, Hero raises to t120, Button calls t120 (pot was t195), 3 folds.

Flop: 9♥ 4♥ T♥ (t315, 2 players)
Hero bets t90, Button calls t90 (pot was t405).

Turn: J♣ (t495, 2 players)
Hero bets t180, Button calls t180 (pot was t675).

River: 7♠ (t855, 2 players)

preflop: if you want to raise with TT from MP, raise to 180-220 after a limper. Early stages lots of players will want to see a cheap flop Tens aren't a multiway hand to play for a raise preflop. Furthermore, you'd really like to buy the button. OR, don't raise at all and play for an undercard flop or set value, if you prefer to keep it simple.

FLop: this is where the mistkes are clearer. Such a coordinated flop, you have to bet more. Bet 300+ on flop. If no heart falls on turn, push. If he raises flop or pushes all in, you beat him into the pot

remember this: when a flop comes this coordinated, and you are HU or maybe in a 3 way pot, it's not likely your opponents would have a made hand better than top set; however, it's quite likely they are drawing very live to one.

and welcome.
good post.

I like preflop. 180 would seem a liittle much to me, but I know how much everyone generally likes big preflop raises round here.

You have to pot the flop.

As played, c/c a reasonable bet on river. He could have a busted draw and represent the 8.

Welcome to the forums, keep em coming, we can all learn something

I personally like preflop, might make it 150 but thats minor stuff
Flop is where we went wrong though..Super draw heavy board, we have to make him pay if he has a lone heart..I would bet about the pot on the flop, and then would jam any non heart turn

As played, I would check/call the river most likely, if I played it this passively
