akishore 0
Both games are 3/6 ring. Both opponents' notes include "LAG".Two nights ago:I am on the button with K K (suits irrelevant)...., I open, SB three-bets, BB cold-calls, I cap, SB calls, BB calls.(12 sb, 3 plrs) A K 8SB checks, BB checks, I bet, SB check-raises, BB cold-calls, I three-bet, SB caps, BB cold-calls, I call.(12 bb, 3 plrs) 3SB bets, BB folds, I raise, SB three-bets, I cap, SB calls.(20 bb, 2 plrs) 8SB bets, I raise, SB three-bets, I cap, SB calls.SB shows A A and wins the 28 BB pot.Last night:I am CO with 8 8 (suits irrelevant)...., MP opens, I three-bet, ..., BB cold-calls, MP caps, I call, BB calls.(12 sb, 3 plrs) Q 7 3BB checks, MP bets, I raise, BB cold-calls, MP three-bets, I call, BB calls.(10.5 bb, 3 plrs) 8BB checks, MP bets, I raise, BB folds, MP three-bets, I cap, MP calls.(18.5 bb, 2 plrs) 8MP bets, I raise, MP three-bets, I cap, MP calls.MP mucks Q Q and I win the 26.5 BB pot.The first hand was some serious salt in a big cold-deck + 500-suckout wound... but boy, did I ever feel like a super fish after that second hand... In case you missed it:First hand, I lost the max possible 12 BB since every street was capped. Kings to aces sucks, but flopped set of kings to flopped set of aces sucks even more.Second hand, I lost almost the max possible with 11.5 BB since only the flop was uncapped. But the clincher -- I caught perfect perfect running 8's to suck out with running quads against top set. Phew, I have never pulled that one before and maybe never will...What a sick game... these swings are sick sick sick.Ok, that is all... hope you enjoyed. =DAseem
CobaltBlue 662
I do not recall the last time I put 12BB into a pot. I'm sure it's probably happened once, but I've certainly forgotten.

I don't want to say that the KK hand was the only time because I can't imagine I haven't done it before, but I certainly don't remember it -- it's a rare occasion such a thing happens. And it doesn't help when you have the opponent labeled as a LAG. =DAseem
MasterLJ 0
The other night I turned no less than 5 sets last night to people "slow playng" Tptk and two pair. 7 buy-ins up in 1000 hands.
Abbaddabba 0
I dont know if LAG is enough to take the river to 4 bets in the first one.Your hand is completely obvious to him by then (well - the fact that you have top or second set). And if you have kings, there isnt much left in the deck for him to be happy with.

Abbaddabba 0
That isnt "LAG" by most standards. That's just a bad player.24/15/2 is pretty "lag" by full ring standards, but there're a lot of good players that hover around that. Preflop looseness shouldnt be confused with maniacal aggression postflop. You know how often i get 4 bets on multiple streets from people who cant tell the difference?I guess it depends on what aki means when he says (or uses the note) lag. akishore 0
so I have no idea about PT numbers for these guys. I haven't used PT in ages. I tend to not write LAG unless I actually see them do funky stuff like raise 86s utg or open with T7o from MP3, etc. Or on the other hand, when I see them 3bet from the SB after one limper and one raise with QTo or 44. etc.as for postflop, LAG implies that they make a lot of bluffs and/or checkraises with air, or donk on scare cards with 5 high, and/or get in many **** measuring contests with ace high, etc.Aseem

iggymcfly 0
The river cap is terrible in the first hand. I mean honestly, what do you think he has? After the PF cap and flop cap, I'd put him on a range of AA or AK and I think I'd probably call down after the three-bet on the turn. If he's really LAG, I might cap the turn, but I'd just call the lead on the river. By the time he three-bets the river, you're up against AA or 88 a good 90-95% of the time. Abbaddabba 0
I dont know about 90-95% of the time. But definitely not enough to 4bet the river.Against most players, probably not often enough to even raise the river.
