DonkSlayer 1
So, if I acknowledge the Christ died for my sins and that he is the son of God, but don't really like him or God, do I still get into heaven? If I'm a Muslim, is it like Judaism where Heaven is the sum of faithfullness and good works, or is there something offerred by God or something I can do to assure salvation?Do Hindus and Buddhists just get re-incarnated a brazillion times or is there an eventual Nirvana? If there is, why do we have repeated incarnations of the Dalai Lama?SHYTCAKES this was supposed to be in religion. Requested a thread move.

Royal_Tour 0
No such thing as heaven.Universe is 12 - 18 billion years old it started with a giant explosion and everhting including galaxies are moving away from each other at a very fast rate. eventually everthing will fold on itself and it will start all over again billions of years from now.Imagine a grain of sand on a beach, imagine a grain in a hand full., how many grains? thousands? hundreds of thousands? now imagine every grain on every beach in the entire world.Multiply that by 1 million and you'l start to understand just how many stars our out there. where are we as humans? we evolved over time, are we here for a reason? of course not, we'll continue to grow and perhaps our planet is destined for doom. maybe a black hole, maybe a meteor, maybe just killing ourselves. what happens when we die?probably a bright light similar to that of a heaven, but its the lack of oxygen goin to our brains, at this point our minds slip into a dream state where we think we see our relatives, and loved ones, our souls leaving our bodies, but thats the last few seconds we have left while unconsious, a dream only take seconds, and this explains peoples visions of god with near death experiences. TenaciousMe 0
Eh, Christianity is the only religion where faith determines your salvation. Everything else has some type of good deed or meditation type thing along with it.You can believe that Jesus died for your sins, but it doesn't really do any good unless you put complete faith into it. Meaning; if you've got complete faith in him, you probably won't be going around raping women and setting things on fire, so deeds naturally follow along, but aren't specifically required. Whether you're religious or not though, it's always good to help someone.

You will want to do good deeds but they are not required but if you don't want to do good deeds then that means you must not be a good christian? It blows my mind how this actually becomes doctrine.
