This hand has bothered me since last Saturday.I was in the BB playing $15-$30. The guy to my left puts in a live stradle. the cards are dealt and a middle player raises, a VERY loose guy calls the raises, the SB calls. I look and see I have pockets kings (one red, one black). Two things cross my mind, a) hide my strength, B) wait for the flop to see if an ace comes, then see what the raiser does. I call, then the live stradle cabs it. I believe he might have a marginal hand and just trying to build the pot and scare everyone. Everyone calls the last bet. The flop comes A-Q-A. The first raiser just sat down and had only played about 10 hands and had limp into a few pots, but folded everytime. I did not have a good read on him. I put him on AK, AQ, QQ, JJ. The SB checks, I checked, I just know someone has an ace! EVERYONE CHECKS. Now I fear someone is slow playing. The turn is Q. Board of A-Q-A-Q. SB checks, now does this board scare anyone else with pocket kings who has to act second? Well it did me! Someone could be waiting for the higher rounds to bet, or still check raise, or just smooth call. Again EVERYONE CHECKS! HMMMMMMM!I don't know what to think. I have a hard time believing NO ONE has the A or Q and that I have the best hand. I mean the probability that one out of 5 has an ace is about 58%, let alone the queen. The river brings a blank, board A-Q-A-Q-x.It checks around to the VERY LOOSE guy who throwns in a bet. I laugh to myself. SB folds, I have to call this guy, I do! Everyone else folds. Loose turns over J-10 off. I rake the pot!Does anyone think I could have played this better? Maybe raised loose guy? Any ideas? Thanks
did i miss any bets? opions please

can't raise on the river, only hand that calls you is one that you have beat and no way you are able to bluff someone that has a Q or A

In my casino's if there is a live straddle you're allowed 1 more raise preflop. You should've reraised, then you come out betting and you take down the pot there or get called by loose guy trying to hit his K for the straight, which gives you the boat... either way by limping in pre-flop you lost control of the hand that you clearly should've had control of...

If I come out betting on the flop, do I fold if raise? I could be betting out with a dead hand!

Checking the flop and turn was fine. On the flop because it was quite possible that someone had an A. And on the turn because someone quite possibly hitting a Q. You played the hand correctly.
