Going to do this one from memory..240 left, 160 pay

Hero is in SB w/ 4 icon_suit_club.gif 5 icon_suit_club.gif and a stack of 2K

Blinds 100/200

BB had about 8 K- Last time around I pushed into his BB, he folded..This is the second orbit around since I've been short stacked

Folds around to me, I complete- Probably mistake #1..Anyone else complete or just give it up? As soon as I did it, I thought to myself, man if I were him, I would push with any two cards here...

Anyways he checked..

Flop: A Q 6, two icon_suit_club.gif

Hero bets 400, BB Calls-- Probably another mistake..Feel free to comment

Turn: 5 (obv. not icon_suit_club.gif )

Hero has about 1500 behind and the pot is 1200...Easy push? check to see a free card if he lets me hopefully...Hero is kicking himself for completing...

I need to stop doing stuff like this..pronto

I have problems with an M in this range, and I haven't been overly successful in the bigger MTT's. Therefore, please take my opinions lightly.

I probably would have played pre-flop same as you did. Small suited connectors can turn into hidden monsters. Although, HoH says to avoid these situations when your M is in this zone and preserve your stack for a better opportunity.

Flop: Other than a straight or flush draw, I'm not sure what he's calling with here that doesn't raise preflop. Maybe a weak A, Q, or 6? But, unless he is playing tricky, I think he is on a flush or straight draw.

Turn: Good card for you. Still not a great spot to be in though because if he has two clubs he may have you dominated on a flush draw. Based on the way the hand was played, I would probably check and fold to a bet (I suck).

I think pushing preflop is really the best way to play this hand. If you get called, you probably have life cards, granted your opponent doesn't wake up with a pair.

On the flop, you bet out and get called. Could be a draw, any kind of pair, who knows. I don't think a c/r on the flop would work, because villain would probably be committed with any bet he might make.

To make it easier, i'd either fold preflop or push preflop. I like a fold better, because you still have a bit of FE once you're behind the button in position.

If it were me, i'd have pushed preflop without a question, but i'm insane, as well as a losing player :-D icon_dance.gif
