If you can play the rhythm parts for "Battery" while singing the vocals and sound 1/100 as good as James on either, then this statement might have some validity.

You caught me. I also can't play poker like Phil Hellmuth, or make movies like micheal bay. I guess the only things I'm allowed to have a valid opinion on are masterbation and message board flame posts ( redundancy? you be the judge).

I'm sure I have and just don't know it, but as far as I can remember, I've never even heard a Coldplay song.

Ever heard a song and you're like... damn, that's a shitty radio head song... it wasn't radio head, it was cold play.

Comparing Metallica to Michael Bay is probably ban worthy. Maybe you should just stick to non-music posts.

Am I the only one who noticed NoPunk said "I once saw a Metallica shirt that also had SpongeBob on it...”, then posted a picture of this shirt he "once saw" that looked suspiciously like it was a personal, uploaded picture, taken in his bedroom?

Nope, it's pretty much spot on, excpet metalica has a 10 year head start on pumping out garbage.

sorry that I don't agree with your taste in music, you faciist. I think they are a steaming pile of crap, and douchebag comments like " when you can do what they do" aren't going to make me suddenly like for whom the bell tolls.

Please use the comments to demonstrate your own ignorance, unfamiliarity with empirical data and lack of respect for scientific knowledge. Be sure to create straw men and argue against things I have neither said nor implied. If you could repeat previously discredited memes or steer the conversation into irrelevant, off topic discussions, it would be appreciated. it's funny because i'm not even a big metallica fan. i liked them a lot when i was like 10 years old. point is, starting a thread just to rip on something you think is lame and then being belligerent when someone tells you why it might not be lame is pretty much what you'd expect a condescending azzhole to do. i mean, don't get me wrong. musical taste is a funny thing, especially if you have some. but it's usually a clear sign that someone knows little to nothing about music when they're quick to rip on bands/songs. you'll find that people who know a lot about music can find things they appreciate in just about anything.edit, but man, you are seriouslah a piece of work. get laid or something.

or it means they are an opinionated azz, which I am. and as for your last comment, absolute truth. BTW, I didn't start this thread to rip on metallica, I started this thread to talk about how sweet some kind of monster is.. metallica sucking is pretty much a given.

Going over this thread, I'd just like to give a big LOL at the idea of MK calling someone else a condescending ass.

I just read this thread, mainly because I f'ing hate Metallica. There are some definite gems.

View PosttallytownFSU, on Tuesday, September 5th, 2006, 9:34 PM, said:

As a Metallica fan, I decided to respond to this immediately. Now, in the general sense of the word you, I am all for people who want to hate Metallica. They might not be the greatest metal band of all time. They might even be overrated. They might suck big donkey ****. If that's what you (again, in the general sense of the word) feel, then more power to you. Rock on. To each his own, right? Freedom of speech, all that nonsense. However, if you (the illiterate dipshit who posted this) want to exercise the right to freedom of speech, it's really quite vital to know what the **** you are doing, you pimple on the face of human society. What the **** is wrong with you? Have you ever heard of the shift key? Or maybe even something called a dictionary? Did you even make it PAST grammar school? If you managed to somehow graduate from high school, then I am shocked and appalled at our education system, because this has got to be the worst example of spelling and grammar I have ever read, INCLUDING the homework assignments I've seen eight year olds do. I am surprised you don't move backwards, you are THAT dumb. And because you are THAT dumb, anything you might have said worth reading in this is totally shot to hell and has lost ALL credibility. If you want something you type or say to be considered important or worth reading, then go back to school, pay attention to all of your grammar lessons, and THEN use the internet. God, people like you who actually have the balls to type their thought processes out and post it onto the internet for smart people to read make me want to vomit. It's people like you who are RUINING this country. People like YOU are the reason why George W. is the ****ing President! Do us all a favor and keep your mouth shut, your hands AWAY from your keyboard and do something useful with your time: go shove a screwdriver in your eye and turn it 360 degrees clockwise.
I absolutely love this post. He is a fan, he is also all for hating metallica, admitting some flaws. He then spends 6 hours whining about grammar, presumably taking so long due to repeatedly smacking the side of his hand against his chest. (don't get it? try it...)

MK came out of nowhere in this thread, with some of the worst arguing of all time. I actually remember the guy defining a 'straw man' paradox to me in a fit of condescension one time, and then this?I'm sure I spelled that word wrong...I am not checking it in honour of our fallen friend, Tallytown.I have no idea why I decided to throw in an awkward, offensive joke up there. I feel bad.
Long signatures are really annoying.
