Nfl "pick 'em Help"

Recommended Posts

Im joining an NFL Pick em league with some people and they sent me an email to join and it states this:"POINTSPREADS This pool uses point spreads and your win-loss record is 'Against the Spread'. The team you pick must cover the spread for you to get credit for a win."Can someone explain, like i know that the spread is how much a team is going to win by and stuff but I'm not defintley sure how to pick if the team must cover the spread. Some help is appreciated. Thanks guys

NFL betting is done by + or - points. If someone is minus points then that means if you bet on them they have to win by more than what the minus number is. If someone is + then it means they are the underdog. If you have them covering then it means they can still lose but as long as it is by less than the + number then you win your bet.Example: Steelers -4.5 means Dolphins are +4.5You bet on Steelers, they win by 3, you lose your bet and anyone who bet on the Dolphins win.Steelers win by 5 and you win your bet.I think that explains it?

example:pittsburgh (-1.5) vs miamiif you pick pittsburgh they have to win by 2 or more points, if they win by 1 point then you lose. if you pick miami they have to win, tie, or lose by 1 point and you winalso, with all the forums we have how is there no fcp sportsbetting forum?
