why not raise the flop? his bet is really weak, if he calls you´re probably in trouble. if he raises anyway.
the way it played out i would worry about a set much more than about j9.

prob not j9, but a set or an overplayed AQ are possible.

3 22s
1 TTs
1 QQs
8 AQs

16 J9s, but discount them to 2 for the bizarre play

7 you lose to 8 you beat tough choice as you said!

His betting is so persistent, no huge moves until the river when all draws miss except the bizarro, I lean toward being behind on this one.

I think you need to push/fold when he makes it 1400 on the turn. And if you do call, fold the river if you dont fill up

This is what I don't like. Raise more. You are giving him 7/1 odds.

I think people aren't taking into account that this guy was the SB in an unraised pot. He has a much wider range than people think. If you think he is a player that would min bet J9 on the flop, he could easily have Q8, Q2, 82 or T8, as well as hands like KQ or QJ.

I forgot to include my read on the villain..."she" was LAG preflop and postflop until you showed any strength (meaning you raised or led out) and then she became passive, although still loose. I thought I had flopped the best hand but my fold equity didn't appear to be great, so I went with milking her instead. She could've had air as easily as a set by the turn. My raise was for value; she's either folding air or calling twice that size of a bet with any draw, so that's why I did it.

The push on the river definitely means it's not a set. Could've been a straight but I just wasn't convinced.

Villain showed Qs2s.

Yay. One of my possibilities was right.
