If he's a LAG, I very likely have the best hand..keep the pot small OOP and hope to hit/showdown in a smaller pot as opposed to c-betting the flop, bloating the pot, and making it worth it to the LAG to try and steal it. Yes, you do it on occassion to mix things up, but overall, you're building a big pot OOP with Ace high. And since you've built such a big pot pre-flop, any kind of play at the pot on the flop (be it a bet or a check/raise) is going to be that much more expensive, and you end up in this exact predicament.As played pre-flop, I'd generally play it the same way you did on the flop. And then I'd kick myself for making the pot so big pre-flop. :)And to Jordan, yes, in full-ring, stats of 26/13/3.0 would be considered LAG, although the 26 is on the lower end of most LAGs. Because he's LAG, and because there's two of a suit on the board, he must have two of the same suit in his hand--no. I feel very good if the Ac or Kc hits the board. 7 handed, it's less likely that he has the flush..that's just facts. The fact he bet at the pot means nothing..the only thing I can see where we might disagree with my check/call line is that check/raising is better because it defines the LAG's hand much better if not makes him fold.I strongly believe in showing down aces from time to time, especially short handed against LAGs..but, that's just me.
