Daniel Never Ceases To Amaze On The Felt

Recommended Posts

I know this subject gets beaten like a dead horse but Daniel is friggin amazing on the felt. His instincts are borderline psychic. The way he can read players and there hands are just awesome to watch. Norman Chad commented at least twice how good Daniel is on reading his opponents hands. I would love to see a Phil Ivey/Daniel Negreanu Heads Up HORSE match. In fact I would spend the $$$$ for the pay per view. And no, I dont make pottery....flame away!

Negreanu = The Amazing Kreskin!! It is just spooky. Almost like there is a pocket cam in his head. What better entertainment for the feature table than someone who can tell what someone else is holding. He did the same thing as well on GSN's HSP the other night, but unfortunately he paid everyone off to find that his instincts were correct. The following weeks previews looks like it gets even worse. When mild mannered DN shows frustration, it must be bad.

This will probably be my only post on this forum. I don't play online, I don't go to casinos, (..... hey, I'm in the oil business ... I "gamble" enough as it is ....) but, occasionally, I'll sit down with some buddies and play cards.I watched Daniel play last night. He's "Spooky Good" .... no two ways about it. The segment with the kid told me a little about Daniel Negreanu. I liked what I saw. So, Daniel, ... if you even read these posts ... this is how it works: The next time I walk into a store and see an item with your name on it, ..... I'm buying it...... just on principle. Ya did good.Good Luck to all,Mush the Lurker

Yea, Daniel's reads were amazing.also when Daniel said he could take a day out from his life to spend time with Little Matt, that was very cool. I remember a blog about Daniel granting a make a wish foundation. I assume that was Matt and it was really cool of Daniel. One last note, the version of the nuts with the players imitadating Matusow, Hellmuth, and Ivey was great. Their imitations were hilarious and very accurate, especally with Ivey

I'm reading this thread after watching the final table of WPT in Commerce where Daniel just finished third going out against Erik L. It was really hard watching. Daniel, I hated the part where the pocket cams showed where you won the hand won but folded, I would have rather not known. Then bumping your chips and not making your 30 sec. ext. call against Erik, it was more than I could stand. The really great thing is watching you be a great sport, but I have to say it was like watching Superman take on bad guys without his powers. Being a Daniel Negreanu fan made that last 30 minutes of tv right up there with not knowing if Jack Bauer is going to save the world, and fortune rarely smiles on heroes but they always overcome everything eventually. It's really cool you came to Tampa to play for Vinny Lecalvier's charity event, my wife rolled her eyes when I told her you were only 18 miles away, but she does that about President Bush too, she loves watching you play too. I hope you get in some golf while you are here, welcome and enjoy!

Oh Yeah he is real amazing. The way that he went from being 5th in chips at the WSOP on day 3 - to being eliminated later that day was just pure genius.
DN is a great player, but just like every great player, you go through some bad streaks and you make plays that maybe you shouldn't. I was disappointed that he didn't make a better showing after knowing he was 5th in chips. Obviously, and I think he would admit it, he didn't play his best after that, otherwise we would have seen him with the other pro, Cunningham, at the final table. Regardless, you must admit that he has great poker instincts. Not perfect instincts, no one does, but very, very good and better than most.
