Hello all, I don't post too much in strat but hopefully I'll be here a lot more once I my money back on some sites. My question was about MTT statistics; what to note and how to do it. I know SNGs have ROI and cash games have bb/100, etc., but I haven't seen any clear cut info on actual tournaments. Thanks.

$$$/hour played is the most important of all stats imo.

But ROI is the benchmark for MTT's.

Should I worry about how often I cash or just my actual monetary return?

Not really. Certainly cashing is better than not cashing, but you'll almost certainly be a losing - break-even player if you don't have some top finishes every now and then.

why would you?

I mean it will take so many of these to really figur out if you are a luck box good or bad and so focusing on $$$$ earned in the meantime is all that matters. Not like you can cash 70% of the time and say "oh I"m great, even though I've never made it to the top 3%" And if you cash 20% but Final Table 1/2 those times, should you be "man, I suck only cashing 20%"
