Playing in a weekly home game (dealer calls) and I call NL 2-7 triple draw, in hopes to really lure in a couple fish at the table.I am dealt A-3-3-4-8One player raises the minimum and I quickly call on the button. Not a great starting hand, but a lot of potential to such a small bet.4 to the flop. (UTG+1, CO, Me, BB) [The pot has about $3 or $4, all my pot sizes here are rough estimates, I don't exactly recall the amount, but its close]BB draws 3, raiser (UTG+1) draws 2, CO draws 2I discard the A an the 3 and draw a 2 and a 7so now i have2-3-4-7-8UTG+1 bets the pot. CO folds. I just call (I am still kind of new to the game, so this may be a missed bet but I really didn't want to push out the BB here and I was pretty sure I was way ahead here.) BB calls. The pot going in to the second draw now is $12.BB draws 2, UTG+1 draws 2, I stay pat.Checked to me.....What do you do here?Stacks at second drawMyself [Button]: $55UTG+1: $30BB: $25

I like your pat stand as you have a solid hand that would be kinda rough to improve on. I'd bet the pot here. BTW, this game works best as a limit game where if the limits are $1/$2 it goes 1122. NL is usually best when playing single draw

NL triple draw? that's crazy. usually, if it's triple draw, it's limit, and if it's NL, it's single draw. i wouldn't suggest playing this game too much...anyway, i would have raised after the first draw. you have a very strong 8-low, but i can kind of understand your logic about wanting an overcall. however, this is akin to slowplaying top set on a rainbow flop three-handed when faced with a bet--why risk getting just one extra call (which might not even happen) when you can make more by getting the bettor to call a raise?you see what i mean? it's actually more profitable to get more chips from the bettor (especially since this is NL) than to try to get just a few chips from an overcall. if the pot was maybe six-handed and you had a wheel, slowplaying is more understandable, but 1) your 8-low isn't quite monstrous enough to slowplay, and 2) it's more profitable to raise.anyway, after it's checked to you, bet a good amount, between $8-$10. put pressure on their stacks, especially since they very lamely drew two each. that's just plain ridiculous... with that much action, they're drawing two? you definitely have the best hand.aseem
