I get the feeling that SOMEONE recently was bluffed out of a big pot by someone wearing sunglasses.

Really? If someone's wearing sunglasses I'm gonna try staring exclusively at someone's throat. Does that mean you should wear the sunglasses around your neck??

There is a VERY strong argument for wearing sunglasses at donk tables. They are not aware you are picking up on their tells because they are not aware you are watching them. I only use them when I play at low limit stakes in casinos. If they see you looking at them than they act differently. Now if you are in a stare down this is pointless and the glasses do nothing. The point is to look at them when it is NOT their turn to act and see what they do.For instance, the cards are dealt, and rather than you looking at your own cards you stare at one of your oppenents as they look at theirs. You notice they glance at their chips before acting. This might not have happened if you were staring at them and they knew it.Now if I am ever at a final table with pros and I have sunglasses on, please shoot me.

Sunglasses can be a bit much but it's also style too.Can you imagine seeing Jesus or Scotty Nguyen without shades? It's not like Scotty only wears them at the poker table...it's part of him. Just like if you saw P. Diddy on the green felt...he'd obviously be wearing shades.
