Iím a huge fan now. I love president David Palmer and just wish that he was a real president. He has morals, honor, integrity, and smarts. Too bad the U.S. didnít have a president like that.
Yeah, actors should definitely be considered for our nation's highest office. :club:

I agree DN, it would have been nice to have a good man in the office from 1992 through 2000.

I might just register to vote so I can write in "David Palmer" for president, senator, governor, and whatever else I can vote him to. Seriously, we need a black president, much more than we need Hillary. I am kind of a reverse racist as well and I'm tired of all these white presidents. I mean there is a woman president in the Phillipenes for goodness sakes, you think our nation would be big enough to vote in the most qualified african-american to office. To all the Republicans, who would you want leading our nation into war, Bush or a black guy? We'd never lose. Ahmenijad and Kim Jong Ill would surrender preemptively. booya

No I actually really liked that guy. It's the guy making decisions now that has me worried. Seems like a bad man...

I am appalled by the idea that we "need" a black or a woman president. What about the best person for the job? Isn't THAT what America is about? If you want to talk about an evil of politics don't berate Bush or the White Man, blame our beloved two-party system. Apparently Americans would have a difficult task of choosing from more than two candidates so the nice rich people have pared it down for us. And dont kid yourselves, both the republican AND democrat elite are way richer than "us". That said, I believe the United States is way closer to voting for a woman than a black. Not that it matters in the slightest. Its not as if either a woman or a black man would suddenly change the system......that takes nothing but time and pressure. We'll get there.

I agree with you here Balloon on both points. It's alot easier to just play politics and never really make any of the hard choices/decisions that Bush has been faced with. I'd much prefer a pro-active president, than what we had from 92-00. You either love/hate Bush... DN, discuss the "bad man" comment...

Ask the majority of the troops in Iraq fighting a war they don't believe in, they can probably explain the "bad man" comment more than DN.

I actually asked my roommate in college, a Marine LAV gunner who was amidst the toughest fighting in Fallujah this question and he said that he was in favor of being there, along with most of the guys that he served with. He didnt really like to talk about it much. I just wanted some insight on what DN has to say, since he made the comment. Some of the pts my roommate made:1. The Humvee's alot of times were not properly armored, so they had to use sanbags and also scrap metal to try and provide whatever shielding/armor possible.2. The food was absolutely terrible, many times when they went into town they had to barter with the locals and buy food from them, because they had spoiled food. (He also said the overwhelming response from the locals he encountered was one of gratitude for the work they were doing.)3. About the "soldiers that didn't want to be there"... He said that the media was constantly looking for these types and was more willing to put them on camera/interview than those who were in support of Bush, etc. He told me that while the soldiers weren't in love with Bush, they respected him as a President and would follow whatever orders were handed down. 4. He would go again in a heartbeat, without a second thought.
