Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converterPreflop: wrto is BB with 8 :) , 8 :D . fish raises, wrto calls.Flop: (4.50 SB) 9 :club: , 4 :) , 7 :)(2 players)wrto bets, fish calls.Turn: (3.25 BB) K :D(2 players)wrto bets, fish folds.Final Pot: 4.25 BBI'm not a big fan of the C/r, but I wonder if this is the spot for it? Or maybe the C/c-C/c-bet line?Probably not, just a question.

what's to gain?if you get off a C/R on the flop he will likely fold to the raisei like the flop bet. i think running the risk of giving him a free turn outweighs the benefits of a C/R here.
Good call. What about the C/c-C/c-B line? The guy is TAG and will bluff to the turn, and usually he *should* call a bet on the river with AK.Nah. My hand is too weak. I need to protect it.

wrto,1. why do you label him "fish" in the HH but say he's TAG? i'm confused. i thought TAG's were usually good players... did you mean TAP? or did you mean he bluffs a lot?2. he raised early, so he probably has a big hand or two big cards. i like the bet on the flop line, because going for a C/R is risky for two reasons. first, either he'll three-bet you with an overpair, or he might check behind you if he's TAP with overcards. it's only an ideal C/R situation if you KNOW he has overcards, but with an UTG raise, he could very well have an overpair, and i'd rather bet, be raised, and call (then scurry into C/c mode) than be three-bet and not know where i am (especially if he's TAG and is capable of making this move with overcards).3. i also like the three-bet preflop line. 99 is a good hand heads-up, and you want to know where you're at. if you're only called, putting him on overcards is sensible, but if you're threebet, you know you're against an overpair or possibly AK/AQ/AJ if he's a TAG player. btw, you were in the big blind, so it's not really a limp-reraise.aseem
