All of that stuff you are doing is very cool. If you have time (ok here it comes, a million suggestions) Perhaps add these things as well......
*Coronado Island and the Hotel Del Coronado. Fantastic beach there too.
*The Zoo is very cool, but the wild life park just outside of San Diego is even better. Wide open and more free roaming safari like.
*Check out LaJolla and the Cove area. There is a seal beach there where the little buggars come up and sleep and night. You can get up close and personal. We almost always stay in LaJolla near the Cove when we stay in San Diego. It is a great laid back nice little village and far less crowded than mission beach area or downtown Diego.
*Get up to Del Mar (just 10 minutes N. La Jolla) for very good fine dining at the Pacifica Del Mar. Great food. Nothing snooty, very laid back, but very nice. They have a great menu for all and rooftop Patio dining with a glass wall to block any wind with a view of the ocean. At sunset it is the only place to eat. Dishes range $18 to $50 and up. It is Excellent.

*Check out the lodge at Torrey Pines and Torrey Pine golf course. Top shelf and Soooooo beautiful. Torrey Pines South course is argueably the best California course to next to Pebble! A must play someday bro. Good luck trying to get a tee time though.
Scripps aquarium is near here too. Very cool and more educational than sea world as it is a research center.
Have a great vacation man.
Best to you and yours.

Enjoy San Diego my friend, or as we locals like to refer to it, "Whales Vagina."
Here are some great places to go.
First off food, I know you like sushi, and the best sushi in town is hands down Sushi on the Rock in La Jolla.

For some other great Spanish food, try Cafe Sevilla in the downtown Gaslamp.

Let's see. As for attractions go, The zoo is world famous obviously, and you'll never have a bad time at Sea World. Although it's pretty busy on the weekends.
I doubt you'll want to go to any cardrooms, but just in case you're hankerin for some action, Oceans 11 in Oceanside is the BEST cardroom in San Diego. It also is the one that offers the highest limits. I think the highest I've seen there was 80/160. I know it's a little out of your bankroll, but I'm sure you can handle it no problem. Plus, I think the locals would just be in awe of playing with a celeb player.
The Padres are taking on Arizona tomorrow in a day game that starts at 1:05, and if you want to go to a great ballpark, look no further than Petco Park. It's an amazing stadium that doesn't have a bad seat in the house.
Agreed with Nutz on Torrey Pines, golf course (that's where they hold the PGA tour when it's in town) but Cottonwoods in El Cajon is just as good, if not better. It's a little more challenging because it's surrounded by hills, but it's definately a great place to try out. I'm actually gonna be golfing there this friday. It's a great course.
If you get a chance, go over the bridge to Coronado and visit the beaches. They're super nice and it's a real laid back kinda feeling town. It also gets you away from the hecticness of SD. It's def a nice escape with plenty of great resturants and shopping for your wife.
Ummm...what else? Oh yes, there's a great rock station called Rock 105.3. It has an amazing afternoon show produced by a fella named Budweiser....he's pretty good too.
Any question Daniel, don't hesitate to ask!

AHHHhhh yes. This sushi place is great! Thanks for the reminder Ricker.
Sylvia and I will be there at the end of Septemeber. Going to be in Laguna Beach for a few days and intend on hopefully getting down the S.D. for part of the rest of that week.
The gas lamp district and that area near the fantastic new ball park has REALLY come around the past few years. Real nice now.
I have noticed that is seems to be getting more and more crowded every year and that is a shame, but it's till better than here in August!
La Jolla and Coronado are the schiznit!

Yeah, fortunately though for us locals, it's starting to get to that point where the LA folks can't make it down for the weekend as school is starting and whatnot else, so it's a little less crowded and it's a litlte cooler, but the ocean is still way warm. So there's about a three week window after labor day where it's real nice to be livin in San Diego.

The guy is a monster. Every time they write or say that he's never lost a major when tied or in the lead on the last day, I think maybe he's due to lose one.
I'd never bet on it, though.

Is there a more dominating machine in all of sport?
Have fun at Balboa!

Two cigar stores too.
I was at LaCosta a couple months ago...meh.
I used to go to the beach south of the Del Coronado and make fun of the SEAL trainies. Call them wusses and stuff. Man I never ran so fast.
Cheapest haircut I ever got.
I may never get the picture of CUn4Year's mother being 'bothered' by the lions out of my mind.

Do you golf at La Costa, or just stay there? Anything beyond golfing or spa treatments at La Costa aren't the best SD has... but it does have one of the best member courses in SD.
