Newb here!
Ok. I know I have a slight tendency to over play what I know is going to be my last hand of the night. Last week it was going down in flames with AA on the button to a guy who called a mid sized bet pre-flop bet with J9 and then flopped a straight.
This week...
Playing @ a local casino - $50/100 NL
Final hand of the nite for me.
Sitting on about $200 in chips. $100 up for the night which is not bad for a fairly new player like myself.
10 Players
Seat 6 - Hero ($200)
Seat 7 - Villan ($250)
Several Random Limpers
I look to see KK in the hole
I raise to $12 which is the standard "Limp Eliminator" raise at this table.
3 Call including our villan.
Flop 5/9/K Rainbow
Check to the Villlan - who has been playing pretty aggressive poker the past hour or so - and he raises to $15. Fold to hero who raises to $30. Villan Calls
Turn 8
Hero check to Villan who bets $25. Hero makes it $50. Villan Calls. I put him on a set of 9s
River A
Hero Bets $50. Villan raises all in. Hero Calls...
...I just read the posting guidelines about using a hand convertor and not posting results to get maximum feedback benefit. Sorry for the "Faux Pas". I'll try and learn to use a convertor and repost.

Converter is for online hand histories to make them readable.
I'll take a shot at the hand here....
WHY ARE YOU MIN RAISING HIM?
And the double check-raise once on the flop, and then again on the turn...
Don't do that...Once you c/r a guy on the flop and get called, you MUST
lead at the turn, especially one where you still hold the current nuts.
On the flop, lead out. If/when he raises you, raise him MORE then
just double what he raises you. You want a ton of money in this pot early.
As played by you, I might just flat call his flop bet, then lead the turn.
On the turn, lead at it again. If/when he raises you, if you are not already
all in, GET all in.
As played by you, I probably push or at least raise to $100 when he bets
the $25 on the turn.
By the river, you've horribly misplayed it, but you still have to call.

I was so confused at that point.
main thing in the entire thing... stop min raising
Why did we C/R the flop? Either Lead at it or C/C. C/Ring w/ top set on about as dry a board as you can find is just silly.
Whatever happens on the flop.... I'd either try to lead again or C/R depending on how strong I thought villian was.

Good advice guys.
The table had been playing pretty tight so I was trying to keep action alive with the min raises.
At the casino where I play the $50/100 Table refers to the Min/Max Buy-in when you get down to the felt. So the only way to have more than $100 is to earn it. You can't take $ off the table. The blinds are $1 & $2. Sorry for the confusion.

Dont min raise flop. Min raising....is just not a play anyone likes to utilize. At least go 35. If you put him on a set of 9s, why not just push, he's calling. The c/r on the turn was quite funny.
Mike Matusow: want to play some o 8
Mike Matusow: 5001k
Ram Vaswani: you to good at 500 1k but i play you 1k 2k

Yeah. Guess I was a little too cute for my own good.
btw - it turned out that I did not have the current nuts on the turn...

What a fantastic board for someone with a gutshot draw that hit.
OP, you need to learn how to bet more effectively. Do some browsing around the forums.
Did you announce "last hand" before it?

Yeah. Not exactly "Bad Beat" material, but still...
And, yes, I am still tinkering with my game. I seem to do pretty well with good instincts, patient play, and and good knowledge of odds - but I know I still have some holes to plug. Seems like a great forum to help with that.
No, I did not announce "Last Hand"
