$5-$10 6-max Limit game on Full Tilt, a hand that almost put me on full tilt.On the CO I'm dealt K
K
. The absolute maniac on the BB, who has been playing every conceivable hand possible, three-bets me. To me, his three bet means he has a monster like KQ, so I cap it, and he calls with one other MP player. Flop comes down Q
7
3
. I bet, maniac-donkey raises, I three bet, he caps, and MP folds. I'm thinking he has a Q or 7 and is looking for his kicker (an ace?) to pair. Turn is 2
. He bets and I raise, and he calls. River is 9
. He bets, and I raise, thinking that there is no way he paired a kicker (even donkeys wouldn't three bet Q9, right?) or managed anything more than a pair of queens. He three bets it, and I call. Amazingly, he does beat my KK, and the $190 pot and part of my sanity slide over to him.Hint: this is not some conventional set beating overpair hand, and it won't be easy to guess what he cracked my kings with.

Yeah, he's got two diamonds, though I couldn't tell you what they were. For the sake of guessing, I'll say 73
, which would obviously mean you were actually behind the whole time.

79 suited obviously.

Well I'd three bet 7-9 suited if I was nutbarring... but not at that limit.. I certainly hope you got it beat by 7-9 suited though
I mean what hand would you rather lose too? Honestly... Its the silent Killer, you never see the 7-9 coming...

The extra emphasis in the post and tilt factor makes me think it was 72 offsuit 2-pairing your ass on the turn.

From the betting it looks like he made his hand on the river to me, so I'd guess 79s or maybe 23diamonds. I'm guessing he made either a flush or second pair on the river, or maybe even was holding 99. Yup, donks like this can be painful.

Wow, good guesses so far, considering how bizarre and random my opponent's hand was. You guys are giving him far too much credit on the flop though! A 9-7 on that flop is a monster compared to what he had..

The answer:The mighty, 4-bettable ..10

I wonder what the thoughts in his head were on each round of betting ..Hmm, he's trying to steal the blinds, let me three-bet it with my excellent drawing hand. Oh, he capped it? He's just trying to show aggression with his Ax.Q 7 3? I bet he has an A7 or A3. I have two overs to his pair, and might be able to raise him off this pot. He three-bets it eh? Well I might as well cap it so when my 8 or 10 hits I can get paid off!Two diamonds? Well, well, I'm in business. Three diamonds .. whoa!! A flush, that's my favorite hand ever! Huge pot .. I'm going to Vegas! Oh wait, there goes my money .. why can't my flush hit everytime ... isn't Ace 7 a great hand .. mumble mumble drool
