So did anyone catch ESPN tonight and seen the rangers and angels brawl?
Each teams respective pitchers, plunks the batters for about a good full 2 innings. Until the last batter rushed the mound...

Quick question,

in all the years batters been rushing the mound to beat the crap out of the pitcher, why dont they ever bring their bats while rushing the pitcher?

that would be fkn crazy! HAHA!

I missed a brawl? Unacceptable.

I know a couple of guys have brought the bat with them, but usually everybody scatters when that happens. Juan Marachal once beat a catcher about the head, but he didn't go out to the mound. A big minus for using the bat is that if the bat got used it's probably the difference between 5 game suspension and 5 years in prison.

Aren't you a Reds fan?? Lol.....perhaps the NL should try fielding one good team before making fun of the AL..lol.

It pains me to see a team like the Reds in a playoff hunt while we're stuck in the AL.

Lol..yeah, put the Reds in the AL East and they are the Orioles.

Put them in the AL Central and they are MAYBE the Indians..probably a little worse.

Put them in the AL Central and they are...well..they are probably battling to not be in last.

Can somebody please find a link and post it? I'd find one myself but I'm playing 3 games and watching the Sox.

Indians>Reds.

The Indians have been really unlucky this year. As a result, I expect that everyone will be surprised next year when they play up to their ability. I'd predict a first place finish, but the AL Central is pretty stacked.

Yeah, I agree with Koop on every point.

They will need some type of bullpen if they want any chance to contend.

They should be close to contending now. They've played the toughest schedule of any baseball team so far and have severely underperformed their pythagorean (down 11 (!) games). They should make a huge improvement just by staying the same.

Hey, I picked Cleveland to go all the way this year....so they've really let me down, but yeah, they are way better than their record indicates. Just unlucky combined with underperforming..but yeah, I'd say the Indians are still a better team than the Reds..and I'm really not sure it's close. I'm not gonna go so far as to say the Royals are better than the Reds, because they are not, if the Reds were in the AL Central......I don't know. NL is just down bigtime this year.
