Lavitz 0
I had just lost big hand with AJs after pushing with OESD/Nut flush draw when villian appeared weak. This is a few hands later. Villian who stacked me left and was replaced by "average_joe_1". This is his first hand. "Big Daddy Playa" is new as well, and has only been at table for a few hands and is sitting with original buy in.Full Tilt Poker Game #903158716: Table Bayswater (6 max) - $5/$10 - No Limit Hold'em - 13:56:16 ET - 2006/08/16Seat 2: Big Daddy Playa ($300)Seat 3: NMDynasty ($998.50)Seat 4: average_joe_1 ($1,000)Seat 5: AVL ($932.50)Seat 6: cudd517 ($424.50)NMDynasty posts the small blind of $5average_joe_1 posts the big blind of $10The button is in seat #2*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to cudd517 [Jc Jh]AVL foldscudd517 raises to $30Big Daddy Playa calls $30NMDynasty foldsaverage_joe_1 calls $20*** FLOP *** [8c 4s Td]average_joe_1 checkscudd517 bets $70Big Daddy Playa calls $70average_joe_1 calls $70*** TURN *** [8c 4s Td] [9c]average_joe_1 bets $150cudd517 ?Call, fold or raise? fckthis 0
call and fold river ui. I dont face lots of donkbets in my live game..so maybe some experienced online guys might be able to tell you whether or not its strength.

I dont face lots of donkbets in my live game..so maybe some experienced online guys might be able to tell you whether or not its strength.Calling would leave me with less then 200. Plus if villian behind calls then I really cant see folding river unless perhaps a 6 or A hits and hes still firing.
Scott3705 0
I hate donk bets and I usually start calling down especially on a card like that (not saying it's right). If you're behind the most likely hand is going to be a turned two pair in which case you still have 16 outs. It could very well be FPS trying to freeze everyone and dictate a price. Just because I think you have a lot of outs and because I'd rather get the straggler out of here, I'd probably push this turn and hope that I'm still ahead, which you very well could be. as a side note....good 1/2 year huh???http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...c=44484&hl=

A quick call will slow the other guy down if you have him beat and if he comes at you again on the river, you can fold. Don't care if you have only $200 left...rebuy with that on the bottom instead of busting, if you're sure you're beat more often than the pot is laying you.Lavitz....buddy..pal...bro....raise more than 3x bb with JJ. Please. If we call are we counting an 8 or 4 as a potential out against two pair? What if a J hits? I really cant see folding if a 4 hits because that nullifies the majority of hands that I suspect villian has. Of course if we hit straight we aren't folding.Worried about villian behind too. Lol as for suggestion about JJ...I like playing postflop with a middle pair like JJ and most of the time postflop I'm only trying to get truly involved if I hit a set or I'm up against LAG/donk who overvalues TP on a board like 9 high. Since I have no read on 2 of the villians still to act and I am OOP I am trying to keep pot managable. Of course my plan went to hell after both called my postflop continuation bet.I hate donk bets and I usually start calling down especially on a card like that (not saying it's right). That post was from a long time ago. I feel like an idiot for posting it. i was new to online poker at the time and got excited. I am guilty to being a spam donk.My year has been up or down. I was only playing 5/10 because my rakebreak came in which was to the tune of a buy in at these limits. Felt I would give it a shot.I originally scouted out the table and was not even going to play but I found a ridiculous aggro player who was raising/betting with just about anything. I only got to take one pot from him before he busted though. Then I decided to stay and play like the dolt I am.
BigEasy6 0
Smells like top pair and he is trying to see where he is at or he just picked up a straight/flush draw and he is trying to control the betting. He is betting $150 basically putting you all-in for your $325. He is committed to the river so the only question is just call and see what the river brings or push in now? I push, but, hey, it's not my money...maybe that's why I am broke...
nomad_monad 0
i think this is push or fold. if it were heads up, i might consider calling, but with another guy behind you who could either come over the top or call to draw out on you with good direct odds, i don't like calling here.the donkbet looks to me a lot like a semibluff with pair+OESD that also acts like a blocking bet with something like 79. to try and kick him out of the hand you need to push against a somewhat scary board so he might think he has some fold equity in addition to controlling his drawing price by leading for 1/2 pot here. if you push he's still priced into calling of course, but he probably figured that he was committed to the hand anyways once the 9 hit so it makes some sense to see if he can win without having to showdown.there's a decent change you're still ahead here, and if not, you've got a lot of outs, so i probably push here, mainly to knock out the guy behind you.
