Did anybody see this shiz? Hollywood Hold'em1st show was with Laura Prepon from That '70s Show costar Danny Masterson and his brother, her boyfriend Chris Masterson.I guess they play for $10,000 and each episode is at someones house.Kinda like MTV cribs meets Celebrity poker showdown, and Phil laak was the dealerIt's better than Tilt!

worst poker show on tv. I think 90% of us on this forum could crush that game. The guy that actually won it was the only one that looked to know what he was doing.

Guys, Guys, Guys!Of course this show is nothing like watching the WPT, PPT or WSOP. But for amatuers, I thought it was pretty interesting. It really had the feel of a home game.No one is touting this as watching good players play. I mean, after all, the one guy was very drunk at the end of the game. hasn't this ever happened in one of your home games? I know it has in some of the games I have gone to. What is really cool, the show was created by Laura Prepon. You have to admit, this was much better than Celebrity Poker.

ya its better then WPT Celebrity stuff cause it didnt' have the phony announcers giving the players props for the "AMAZING" plays they made. "Well Vince you gotta give him credit for reraising with 8 high there."

If you hadn't guessed from watching the commercials during that show, I'll spell it out:You aren't the target audience for that show.I'll give you some hints:It's on E!It has celebrities! They ran Tampax and Always ads! That's right folks, it's aimed at your wives... or, quite specifically, my wife. She watches all kinds of celebrity shows and tolerates my poker habit. She's actually a pretty good intuitive player and would kick my butt if she read some books. Anyway, the show isn't about poker per se, but about the celebrities telling stories. I like that there's no audience to play to, like Celebrity Poker Showdown, so they pretty much just joke around with each other and play cards. I also like seeing the calmer side of Phil Laak. Seriously folks, it's not about the quality of the poker being played... it's a show for poker heads to watch with their wives. It's kind of like the signs at the amusement park that say "you must be THIS tall to ride". If you're watching celebrity poker and don't say to yourself "I could crush this game", then you probably need to study more, because most of them generally suck.
