Scott3705 0 Posted August 15, 2006 Share Posted August 15, 2006 My full ring may be off as I haven't played it in quite a while... but usually I would think to either set or forget this hand regardless of flop (unless we pick up some sort of str8 draw.) He either is an uber-station donk or he has you creamed and is building a pot or he has a big overpair and is not playing it aggressively, right?Calm down though. I don't hate your line. Doesn't mean you didn't take it down.Didn't mean for that to sound condescending or anything, but I never mentioned he was passive, as a matter of fact, he was probably more aggressive, but I didn't mention it due to my read being only 13 hands.To me, his weak bet seemed more like a scared AK or something like that trying to steal the pot as cheaply as possible into a field of 3 others.I do understand where you guys are coming from. I would have insta folded had the guy in between us called. I just felt my only concern was the button, but I figured I was easily ahead of the SB. Link to post Share on other sites
troyomac 0 Posted August 16, 2006 Share Posted August 16, 2006 If you are going to fold if he reraises you on the turn anyway. Then why not just check the turn. You are in position, and can control the size of the pot. If he has nothing, he might bluff the river due to you showing weakness. But he may not. If he has a pair of 9's right now, you are drawing to a straight (to win), another straight to chop, and a flush draw, which may or may not be good. See a river, then re-evaluate. I'd check the turn, and likely fold to a river bet UI. You could call it though depedning on bet size, bet timing, etc. Link to post Share on other sites
