Why on earth do you think you're ahead, with no read here?I like your bet on the turn. If the villain knows how to fold an overpair, you've given him a great opportunity to.

Hi.$50 NL.Villains will call that raise with 2 overs, no? AK, AQ, etc.Why would I raise the flop here with 77 if I didn't think I was ahead?

No way. I multi 6h 50max and I find the passives to be tight much more often than loose.

My full ring may be off as I haven't played it in quite a while... but usually I would think to either set or forget this hand regardless of flop (unless we pick up some sort of str8 draw.) I think you'r ejust too far behind his range preflop to do anything else against an unknown 50nl player.

Where did you get passive?
Villain raised pf, got 4 callers, and then bet HALF the pot. He either is an uber-station donk or he has you creamed and is building a pot or he has a big overpair and is not playing it aggressively, right?Calm down though. I don't hate your line. I just don't think you're ahead very often here. Doesn't mean you didn't take it down.

Didn't mean for that to sound condescending or anything, but I never mentioned he was passive, as a matter of fact, he was probably more aggressive, but I didn't mention it due to my read being only 13 hands. To me, his weak bet seemed more like a scared AK or something like that trying to steal the pot as cheaply as possible into a field of 3 others.I do understand where you guys are coming from. I would have insta folded had the guy in between us called. I just felt my only concern was the button, but I figured I was easily ahead of the SB.

If you are going to fold if he reraises you on the turn anyway. Then why not just check the turn. You are in position, and can control the size of the pot. If he has nothing, he might bluff the river due to you showing weakness. But he may not. If he has a pair of 9's right now, you are drawing to a straight (to win), another straight to chop, and a flush draw, which may or may not be good. See a river, then re-evaluate.

With the flush coming off on the turn, I really doubt you're ahead here. Either you were behind the whole way, or you just got caught. I'd check the turn, and likely fold to a river bet UI. You could call it though depedning on bet size, bet timing, etc.

Hmmm... I didn't think I messed this one up. I'll know better for next time. Thanks for the replies guys. Not to be results oriented, but he folded the turn. It still stood out as a question though, which is good. :club:
