airmcnair8888 0 Posted March 19, 2005 Share Posted March 19, 2005 I was recently playing in a $10 dollar buy-in NL Texas Holdem Tournywe started w/ 11 players and i made it to the final 4i was third in chips ($16.00) and got dealt A 10 I raised $5.00 preflop and got one caller (Player A ($12.00 but after call has $7.00)The flop came 9 10 7 i bet $5.00 ... Player A pondered awhile and then went all in.. which made me have to call another $2.00I figured i had good enough pot odds and calledPlayer A had 8 5 Turn: 4 River: J :evil: Catches straight on river!!!!TWO HANDS LATER... im short stack at $7get dealt A Q go all inget caller ( Player B $19) he flips over K 9 FLop comes 6,9,2, turn 4, river 10. (suits didnt matter)im gone losing to a pair of nines...MY QUESTION... did i play these hands right? ANy advice? Link to post Share on other sites

And neither of these hands are really terrible beats anyway, you just got mildly unlucky, which happens to all of us on a daily basis. I don't think either of your hands was played poorly though. Blinds were SB .50 BB$1.00position in first i was SB and Player A was BBpostion in second (i was all in preflop{forgot to say that}) i am the BB player B is SBLet me know if u need any more info Link to post Share on other sites
