tallytownFSU 0
This happened in a live 25/50 game with a $5k cap. I need some opinions here.8 handed, MP2, I look at 8 7 . I limp, as does the button, and the BB checks.flop is 8 6 5 . BB checks, I lead for 150, button folds, BB raises to 500 and I call.turn is 2 . BB bets 500. I????I really like raising the cap here. My reads on the villian is that he most likely came in with any two cards that make two pair here. I haven't played with him a bunch, but I've seen him make pot sized bets on the flop with nothing but solid hands. On the other hand, he is a very great post-flop player, so I really don't know what to think about it.Do you guys push the cap on the turn? GoCryWolfe 0
Id say cap. It's very likely you may have the best hand IMO, barring an A8. My guess is he has a similar hand to you, or just a flush draw. The real question is, is if you cap it, and he calls. What do you do on the river? If you miss and he bets the cap, can you realistically call here? If you miss, it means that either a high card came down or the lowest cards came down. Prolly not much help, but just my 2 cents. Jordan 1
It depends on what you mean by good post flop player.is he bet/folding with two pair here?I don't see a straight playing it this way, so as for his range, I'd put that on the bottom level of his possible holdings.I take it you both have 5k stacks?on the turn then he basically bets 1/2 pot, so I think he may be bet/fodling here...I like the push cause you def. have a lot of folding equity (if what I asked above is true), and if called you have outs to the str8 and the flush.Worst case scenario would be a set (obv) and I think that's one of the few hands that will call a push (besides straights, which would really suck, but I don't think that's going to be his hand here most of the time).- Jordanps - you are the guy that won that big tourney right? FWIW, I pushed and he called. He shows A8, and i spiked the spade on the river.

tallytownFSU 0
Wow, I'm really surprised he'd call an all with that hand. Did he tell you he put you on your exact hand?- JordanHAHA Yeah.He sat there for like 3 minutes. Hemmed and Hawwed, and said a bunch of things around the type of "I know you are drawing. I don't have any redraws if you hit."It didn't really matter to me because I knew I was beat from the getgo. You're right, im really suprised he called with A8.
