Should I go for a cap here? Or am I likely to get more action/bets by calling and betting/raising the river?

I would just call there,

if you are lucky UTG 3 bet.

but hopefully he call and bet out on river again, then you can get your raise on river.

Easiest cap in the world. If you cap now and bet the turn when he checks to you, you win 5 BB and when you wait till the river to raise you win 5, but when you cap the turn he may still bet out on the river with a worse hand.

I don't see any value in simply calling here. I cap it without hesitation.

either way you are probably going to make 3 more bets. if you just call and raise the river you make 3 bets. and if you raise here and he just check calls the river you make 3 bets.
but you HAVE TO RAISE here. even though you will probably make the same either way there are going to be times when he has something like a set or 2 pair and will call the cap and still bet the river (and maybe even get a cap on the river). another thing is if he has a draw and for someone reason he 3 bet the turn, if he misses the river he might just check fold and you will have missed a bet. a big mistake people do in lower limits (and even in the higher ones) is they try to get too tricky and in the long run they just end up costing themselves bets. i forgot to mention that this is a low limit so people will often overvalue their hands and lose way to many bets with just 1 pair, so you have to raise.
i am curious what was the river? with the way i have been running i know the river would've been an Ac or a 3c mad.gif
