Good Play Or Lucky Play?

He makes the call with AA, bricks out on the river, and I doubled up.From the preflop I figured him for QQ, KK, AA, or possibly AK. I had great pot odds to call the original raise (like 6-1 I think), and the reraise was even better. I knew that if I caught a good flop, I could get the reraiser to double me up.That flop was about as good as I could get without flopping a made hand (two pair or better). I considered leading out, but figured I could lose control of the size of the pot quickly if he pushed with a big reraise. When he bet the size of the pot, I was certain he was playing a big pair and decided I had 9 outs and if I hit, I'd take $15 off of him (what I was left with after the $3). That gave me pot odds of 2-1 to make the call, and implied odds of 7-1 to call when I figured I had about ~28% to win (3-1). Going on strictly pot odds, it was a poor call, but I figured my implied odds were good enough to with it.Is this good thinking, or am I just lucky to catch that 6?

Preflop is a must fold. Don't make a habit of calling small raises with trahs hands like this. You want to enter with hands that have a better than average chance of becoming a monster when you call a raise.I wouldn't count a 6 as a full out , since it makes anyone with a 5 a straight.

I can count it as an out if I put my opponent on a big pair, like I did. If it was an unraised pot, i wouldn't count it since its more likely somebody got in there with a 5.Also, you're saying I'm worse than a 6-1 or 11-1 when I'm calling these min reraises? It's not like i'm calling a hand like 7-2 or 8-3 where they don't connect at all. My hand is unlikely to be dominated and has possibilities to make a straight, trips, or two pair given the right board.
