I figure either a flush draw, 10 10 or JJ makes that play. AA or KK just bets out, and/or reraises PF.Thoughts?

Well if I put my opponent on a flush draw or a smaller pair, then I would come back over the top and put them all-in after the check/raise on the flop. If I were to smooth call preflop with AA or KK, then I would probably lead out on a two suited flop. So I'm not putting them on either of those. But that's just me...and I'm not any good.

I thought about that too. Maybe that was the play.I just basically planned on pushing ANY non Ace or King turn.

This is an easy fold. If you had AA here would it make a difference, and you name your post "I Hate AA"? 1010? I don't think so. Villain had no worries about the 2nd 8 coming; he has one OR has two more of something else on that board.

with deeper stacks I definitely reraise the flop to see where I'm at. in this case the only option to reraise would be to push the flop so I'm more apt to call here. I probably definitely go broke here. Its probably close to 50/50 that we are beat. This is 99-JJ quite a bit.

Correctthe is 50 NL and villian is usually putting us on overs and notice the slowdown on the turn. he doesn't like the 8 either or the fact that we called the flop C/R.

That was why I only flat called the flop c/r. If the turn didn't hit me, and he pushed, I was folding. I only pushed because of his weak bet. Thought I might have a bit of fold equity.

the push was fine. its kinda one of those "if i'm beat so be it". the weak bet is screaming fear or you are drawing dead.

You only have Fold equity against hands you beat. So you never really want a fold on this turn. Being concerned w/ sets is part of a progression to being a better player, but you can't play so weak-tight that you get frozen everytime some one bets into you w/ an overpair. If you're beat you're beat. I believe you lose more money in the LR if you tighten up and C/C or C/F in these situations by trying to lose the minimum against sets instead of trying to win the maximum against other hands.
