bjsmart 0
Did I play this hand wrong,Here is the situation I am playing in a Live Sit and Go at my local Casino and there are 4 of 10 left. I am on the button with only $800 of my $1500 chips leftBlind are 100/200The Cut off has folded and i raise all-in with AsQs. The big blind mucks out of turn and then the small blind 3rd in chips says lets play bingo and makes the call, he shows Qh5d.Both the Flop and the turn show 5's but still leave me with the backdoor flush which does not come. And thus I am eliminated.Should I have just called and then moved if forced, or was my all in the right play?

GrinderMJ 0
Unless it's paying top 3 and like there is a stack with 100 or 200 left, this should be an automatic shove every time.

psujohn 0
I just dont get how players this bad can have the BR for a $50 SnGYou mean the guy with an M < 3 who's questioning if he should open push AQs? You can come up with a contrived situation where you can fold this but it's about a clear cut a decision as you get.

You can come up with a contrived situation where you can fold this but it's about a clear cut a decision as you get.I think he was referencing both blinds (one folds out of turn, one calls off his chips with Q5os) as well as OP's ignorance of fundamental poker concepts - results-oriented thinking, his stack in relation to the blinds, the concept of domination...etc
trystero 0
I'd review the other situations that arose during the game, which could have prevented you from being in this spot at all (4th in chips on the bubble). Perhaps you missed some opportunities to acquire some chips. I know that sometimes there's nothing you can do, as you're card dead within the nightmare of a casino's blind structure, but it's worth investigating more than this simplistic hand. I am new to Tournament play but do consider myself a steady enough player to make sound decisions. I agree that I had a no brain push here and made the right move... Bad beats do happen and I respect that aspect of poker.I made only one other push the enitre tournament and this was the key hand that put me into that situation.I am the big blind level of 50/100, level 3, I have 1200 in chips UTG is short stacked having just had his aces cracked the hand before he only has 550 left in chips and moves all in (10c Js) MP calls the all in of 550 Button and SB FoldI raise all in and get called by the MP I have (Qh, Qd) MP has (Kc, Qs),The Flop is 4c 10s 7h turn is 5d and the river is 10h so I get some chips back but again had the opportunity to make more. Was this wrong? Should I have just folded my BB and waited. I know my read was right but were my pot odds correct? Again I am new and the bank roll issue is pointless as at my Casino this is the lowest sit and go available and I have the funds. I am playing for experience at live events. And also can some one explain M<3?

Someone's steaming, pushes all-in, gets called by MP who you're probably dominating...and you wake up with a beast. Of course you're pushing.
