I'm looking for some help on best place for someone new to poker get their feet wet with a small bankroll. It's been a while since I played much lower that 5/10, so I'm looking for some help.
My girlfriend is wants to start playing. She understands the basics of HE's game structure, but knows little about stratagey. But after being beat into submission from dating me, and some friends from her work further peaking her interest (they go play at a local low limit cardroom a couple times a month), she started asking me what would be a good online site to signup for.
I'm looking for a site that would offer good fishy micro limits, $0.10/$0.20 (I would assume almost all micros are fishy) and offer good bonuses (she probably won't play as often as most, so expiring bonuses or hard to work off bonuses are no good) and rakebacks for small deposits.
I'm going to have here sign up and get comfortable with a site and some basic stratagy by playing "play money" tables while she reads "Hold'em Poker" that I bought her. And after a few weeks or month probably give her $50-$100 from my BR.
So, any site suggestions? Absolute? WPX?
I got my start with $50 on Pacific. They had good micro limits for beginners (but not much rakeback or bonus). But I'm sure there are much better sites for newbies. Especially since they started allowing Multi-tabling.... better plays are probably playing there more now.
Thanks for the help!!!

Pokerstars.
It has the best selection of micro limits (ie playing within a $50-$100 bankroll) out there.
Also, I've recently been converted by the unbelievable software/support/games, etc.

Yeah, I was thinking about them too. They seem to have a ton of good micro limit games, but I didn't think they had much in the way of bonuses and rakeback.
(although at the $0.10/$0.20 type of limits and the time she is probably willing to put in, bonus and rake back might be immiterial... I don't know....)
Thanks! I appricaite the input!

I thought about that after I posted.
You might want to find one of those rakeback calculators and see what she could make back depending on how many hands she plays, and the limits, etc, before you make your choice, to see if it really is immaterial.

Either PokerStars, Absolute, or Party Poker. If you want a $100 free on Party or Absolute to get your role going PM me.

If you only have $100, good luck with the swings. You should look into doing some casino deals to get some cash and then play some poker. You could make $1000 in just over a week by only doing 5-6 casino deals. If you need some help, just shoot me a pm.

They didn't have them when I started but there are beginer tables at Party that you can only play on for your first 30 days or something, that are said to be super soft.
